Good news it true.
Jesus: Hey, Dad? God: Yes, Son? Jesus: Western civilization followed me home. Can I keep it? God: Certainly not! And put it down this minute--you don't know where it's been! Tom Robbins in Another Roadside Attraction

That’s going to set up a Supreme Court fight to see if the same procedures are followed about not replacing a Justice in the last year of a presidency, and I’m already seeing Justice arguments about this being the most critical election of our time.

I’ll be shocked if they don’t have someone installed before the end of the year, maybe even before the election. While the promise of a judicial appointment could give Trump some leverage, they can get the same — if not more — out of fear-mongering the possibility of Biden expanding the court and stacking it with commie judges. I wonder how many good xtians are out there celebrating right now, believing the great white god has answered their prayers.

Of course they will, Yertle said so even at the time. Somebody asked him if he would apply the same standard if there was a Republican president, and he replied “of course not”, as if it was the silliest question in the world. I think that was the moment that truly brought home to me what a sociopath he was. Concepts such as fair play are completely incomprehensible to him.

We should welcome this. It will help Dems take the Senate, especially if the 4 GOP senators who committed to not allowing a vote on a nominee in the last year of the Trump presidency reverse themselves, which is likely. Then they can expand the court, or better yet, impeach Kavanaugh and Roberts for the perjury the committed during their Senate hearings.
