Dramatic new details of how the U.S. government engaged not only in illegal surveillance but also in extensive discussions about the possibility of extra-judicial rendition, kidnapping, or assassination of Assange.

      From https://dontextraditeassange.us20.list-manage.com/track/click?u=dc0b6933f34803bd7d8dd8280&id=68f61214d1&e=cf03cab6a7 :

In 2017, as Julian Assange began his fifth year holed up in Ecuador’s embassy in London, the CIA plotted to kidnap the WikiLeaks founder, spurring heated debate among Trump administration officials over the legality and practicality of such an operation.

Some senior officials inside the CIA and the Trump administration even discussed killing Assange, going so far as to request “sketches” or “options” for how to assassinate him. Discussions over kidnapping or killing Assange occurred “at the highest levels” of the Trump administration, said a former senior counterintelligence official. “There seemed to be no boundaries.”

The conversations were part of an unprecedented CIA campaign directed against WikiLeaks and its founder. The agency’s multipronged plans also included extensive spying on WikiLeaks associates, sowing discord among the group’s members, and stealing their electronic devices.

Much more at the link above.

On Thur., Oct. 27, Assange’s case will be heard by the U.K. High Court, which will decide whether to overturn the lower court’s decision to deny Assange’s extradition to the US on the ground of risk to his health.

If you or anyone you know can be in London in Oct., please help:

Assemble Sat. 10/23, 1pm, at BBC Broadcasting House, Portland Place for a march to the High Court.

On the day of the appeal, Thur., 10/27, 9am, assemble outside the High Court, the Strand.

Destruction is easy; creation is hard, but more interesting.

His crime? Being one of many caught at the scene and being an American Indian.
Plus many others. Their crimes, simple revenge or because they needed someone to close the case. Most being people of color, or not being wealthy.

at Peltier’s trial said, “We don’t know who killed the Agents, but someone has to pay for the crime.”

The FBI hid ballistics evidence that would have exonerated Peltier. They also badgered, harassed and threatened a woman with mental illness (Myrtle Poor Bear) and other people into giving false testimony against Peltier. His entire trial was a sham and he still sits in prison 45 years later! Robert Redford put out an important documentary on the case, called “Incident at Oglala.”
