Those of us here, of a certain age, have fought against, warned against, voted against and protested just this kind of thing for many, many years. A pretty good interview.

I would add that the Koch’s are also deep into the Dominionist movement as well.

The DNC “big tent” excludes Nina Turner but includes John Kasich.

Didn’t say he was a “capitalist to his core” but came close enough to save the the cost of shelling out for his book.

If I see it in the bargain bin in a couple of years, I might buy it for toilet paper; in the meantime I will read more of Richard Wolff.

Corporate America consists of totalitarian entities laser-focused on short-term greed.

However it was the acknowledgement that I enjoyed and I totally agree about Prof Wolff…

Great observations about how a confederacy of capitalists manipulated so much to their advantage–discrediting labor, government, public education, and even the idea of a commons or public good in favor of a selfish, Calvinistic vision of God smiling upon the Elect with wealth and power.

That part’s good. If I’m going to spend $20+ on a book, though, I’d rather let Richard Wolff make a few bucks off of me.

that were either legalized or invented along the way:

      Leveraged buy-outs
Speculative credit derivatives (CDO’s, CLO’s, etc.)
      High frequency trading
Consolidation of depositary and speculative investment banking
Revolving door between Wall St. and its regulators
      Lax SEC enforcement
      Lax antitrust enforcement
Lax enforcement of paper markets for metals and other commodities
The power of the Fed to buy securities of unsound companies
The power of the Fed to set negative real interest rates
      Mortgage-backed securities
And many others accomplished via the tax code, trade agreements, etc.

Destruction is easy; creation is hard, but more interesting.
