LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A lawsuit alleges that an Arkansas state trooper caused a pregnant woman’s SUV to flip over by performing a PIT maneuver, a tactic used to stop high-speed chases, in an attempt to pull her over for speeding.

According to the suit, Officer Rodney Dunn allegedly clocked Janice Nicole Harper’s SUV for driving 84 miles per hour — 14 mph over the speed limit — along U.S. Highway 167 in Pulaski County, Arkansas, on July 9, 2020.

Dashcam video shows Harper slow down and turn on her hazard lights as Dunn’s patrol car tails hers with emergency lights and sirens. Harper was seeking a safe place to stop her vehicle, according to the suit.

Two minutes later, Dunn initiated a precision immobilization technique, or PIT maneuver, by matching the SUV’s speed and nudging the rear corner behind the back wheel.

This pig should be charged with attempted murder.

Why do they need to pull anybody over for a speeding ticket these days anyway? I thought they can read the plate and automatically send a ticket to your home. These 🐖 just enjoy fucking with people.

“Dunn initiated a precision immobilization technique….”

so precise that it flipped her car upside down, rendering it immobile.

This driver wasn’t so lucky, when a state trooper caused his vehicle to crash near Ft. Smith, Arkansas. This was the end result of a miles-long high-speed chase for running a red light.

Ever heard of road blocks? Get the license number and go to the registered residence and wait till he gets home?
How many piles was this high speed chase and how many police cars were involved.

There are much better ways to have gotten the pickup driver, but without the adrenaline rush. But that would take better training and even some thinking. There would be no dangerous high speed chase, if the cops if the cops didn’t chase him.
Don’t chase him from behind, get ahead of him. Spikes, patrol cars waiting for him. Blocking the road between intersections.

And because of this, he caused serous injury to a pregnant woman and totaled her car, even though she did follow the law after he turned his lights on. This woman made no attempt to get away.

Cops need to be made responsible for the damage they cause when THEY break the law too. It was probably a good thing she wasn’t black…
