Log in… log out …… items read or not read

seems to be still random and not under the users control. Also marking threads from blue to grey is gone to see what what you have read  is useless.

This has been going on for ages………… and has not been fixed although stated it would be….. what’s up?

            5. I think there's a few hiccups when they upgrade the forum.

If they’re not upgrading the forum when that happens, I have no idea what it is to cause you to be logged out.

If you ever find out, tell me, because it has happened to me several times here as well. I had that happen to me at the site that shall not be named several times over the years, too. And after awhile, it started to bug the hell out of me because it always seemed to happen to me after I had made somewhat of a comment that may have sounded controversial to some of the more vocal members there.

It caused me to rethink what I was doing, what I was saying over there. Because it seemed to me that if it wasn’t just their admin playing chess in his admin forum and then deciding that he didn’t approve of what I, one of the pawns, had just said, that he simply knocked me off of his chess board temporarily . . by manually logging me out. I don’t know. He said one time that he would never do that. But, it happened to me dozens of times over there. However, with me being rather hardheaded, I would simply log back in the next day and not say anything about it. But, after having this happen to me multiple times and reoccurring to me over and over again, I started to tone it down over there . . a lot. Yet, it still happened to me occasionally, even if I only made a comment agreeing with someone over there. It happened to me more often during the 6 months leading up to elections. Since I was there for 13 years, that means this occurred to me at least a half of a dozen times, every 2 years more so than at other times.

Eventually it happened to me so often after Bush was re-elected in 2004 that I kind of gave up on trying to figure it out for awhile because I was starting to get paranoid over there. I concluded that it had more to do with my crummy ISP than anything else. I think my connection was not really what it should be up to in terms of being able to get online and still manage to get in to heavy discussions on a forum. And that made me more paranoid, thinking that my ISP was somehow being monitored. Most of this type of thing took place after the 2004 elections, since before that, I had no problemos whatsoever.

Yet, after I became a mod of sorts at the JK forum in 2004, things started going sideways for me on the ol’ forum board that was supposed to be for liberals.  Since I’m not the type to even wonder if Homeland Security was listening in to what I have to say . . . since I think that was a given, especially back at that time. Because earlier, in 2001, the Patriot Act had a very chilling effect on a lot of internet forums. As a result, immediately after it passed in to law, it caused a lot of my friends to drop the hell right off of the internet while I had been busy moderating an international military forum for them.

Things cleared up for me after Obama was elected. Which was mysterious, but seemed to be a really nice affect of the 2008 election for me personally. But, then just before the 2012 election, it started all over again at that other site. So, by 2014 I was looking elsewhere to discuss national and international matters. After last year’s mandatory voting requirements were put in to place over there, it became essential to move on, as Stephen Colbert would say.

              6. I have mentioned it months back and they said it was in the honey do list

But today it logged me off 4 times… and everything I had read even my own OP turned blue again like I never even read my own OP. This happens almost daily

Just wanted to bring to their attention again ….. for an item on their honey do list that was never marked off.

the rest of your story was interesting……… when we both were there in the Old days on that channel

                7. It is maddening.

I had never had anything cause me so much doubt and paranoia as being subjected to their apparent glitches at that other site. I’ve also had the articles I’ve read turn blue again here, but I didn’t think much about it.

                  8. JPR is now doing this

                  The jackpineradicals.com page isn’t working
                  jackpineradicals.com didn’t send any data.

                  reload?

but it still works when going back a few pages.

                    9. An HTTP 401 error happend to me early on Thursday.

I noticed in my browser history 2 sets of records for JPR’s forum. Maybe they’re transferring data between the two.
