John McDaniel railed on social media against Ohio’s Gov. Mike DeWine’s lockdown order. Weeks later he contracted the virus. A few days ago he died.

Some people will go to any lengths to prove a point. They’re usually very stupid people.

He lived in Marion, OH. The Correctional Facility in Marion has over 1,800 inmates (of 2,300 total inmates) who are Covid-19 positive. A prison employee died and several inmates died (won’t hear about that in the news). Ohio National Guard has been called in to take over prison operational duties.
But on the other hand, he wrote his social media posting in mid-march. Maybe he just spoke too soon.

They don’t mention that they haven’t come up with anything else since 1920. One of the reasons I got the hell out of there in 1969. Lived there for 3 years and it felt like two lifetimes.

So the prisons are privately run until something unexpected happens. Then the government has to deal with it. Nice contract!

@redcloud They’re getting sick, too, and there have been demonstrations in prisons, but our news media finds those lower orders beneath their haughty notice.

yelling they want to be free. I probably will not be the first out when the lock down is lifted. I’m sure that it will be lifted partly due to politics instead of science. But it probably helps that I’m retired.

They are talking about reopening and are faking their death rate data.
I’m going to wait at least 2 weeks after any openings. GOPers have a death wish and I don’t want to join in. They can go ahead and spread it to all their family members and GOP supporters.
I’ll stay safe while they get sick and/or die.

Afterwards, it makes it easier to get things back on track and catch up with the rest of the world on caring for the needs of the people, instead of the rich and infamous.
We are an arrogant species, believing our fantasy based "facts" are better than the other person's fake facts.
If you are wrong, it will be because you are not cynical enough.
