McConnell Has Written Off Trump, So Now It's About Crippling The Future Biden Administration

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been taking a lot of fire for not just capitulating to Republicans and taking the poison-pilled scraps that they are purportedly offering in pandemic relief. Those poison pills are the big tell here. Mitch McConnell doesn’t want a deal and his refusal to pass anything without them are all the proof you need.

We’ve speculated about this for a few weeks, the possibility that McConnell and his fellow Republicans have already given up on a Trump victory, and is purposefully wrecking the economy to complicate Joe Biden’s first year in office. Both in giving him a wrecked economy, and setting the stage for making it harder to demand the trillions that are going to be necessary to save the country. That speculation has proven true, with Republican operatives admitting that’s the strategy.

Well it worked well for him in the past, why wouldn’t he. There was zero downside. And the Dems will do nothing to stop him, watch.

The only reason she didn’t take that offer from Mnuchin was so Trump can’t sign his name on all those checks, which might help him against Biden. The fact is that tens of millions of Americans needed that $400 a week unemployment enhancement, not to mention the $4000 per family checks for everyone making under 150K a year.

Well, maybe not the only reason. Pelosi didn’t even want to sign off on the $1200 checks last time. She did, because her Wall Street donors told her to, but she is an arrogant elitist sociopathic bitch who does not give a shit about ordinary people. I refuse to give her any credit unless she’s earned it, and she sure hasn’t earned any here.

That is all there is to that.  Also find it hilarious that Democrats do not want Trump’s name on anything when they go on and on about “OBAMACARE”.

Just think about the mindset of someone who would rather people went hungry and/or got evicted from their homes,  than help them out a little, just for campaign purposes.

      Also – everything @ohiobarbarian said.

And I am hoping we have a Congress that will not rubber-stamp war and the TPP for Biden.  That is what will happen if the Dems take Congress and Biden wins, and anyone who wants that is no one’s friend.

So leave the potential for a despot, but damage the country bad enough so it demands constant attention. Looks like just the right moment to redo the New Deal.

@halfcenturyman And the Democrats, Obama in particular, deliberately blew that chance. Now, there is absolutely no hope of anything remotely like the New Deal happening, not with the President we’ll have and the Congress we’ll probably have. It’s too late now.

Only major structural changes will make a difference, and there’s no way to accomplish that by merely voting. Soon enough, things will get so bad that we’ll be looking are massive social unrest, not the minor stuff we’ve had over murderous police. Then, maybe, the oligarchy will decide to give people enough to avert a real revolution, but ours is so arrogant and stupid I doubt that very much.

I’m not a fan of Pelosi but the House Dems passed a bill that is sitting on McConnell’s desk. People here criticized Justice Dems for voting for the only stimulus deal instead of holding out for a better deal. Well it looks like Pelosi is holding out for a better deal. At any rate this is all up to McConnell whether he agrees to Trump’s or Pelosi’s bill.

We have no chance at change, but it still is time for a change.
