A couple said they found a bag of McDonald’s food they believe is from 1959 in the walls of their Chicago-area home during a renovation project.
The Joneses said the fries, which still have a good bit of color to them, are surprisingly sturdy.
The bag has the image of McDonald’s old mascot Speedee, who represented the golden arches before Ronald McDonald came on the scene.
The couple isn’t sure what they’ll do with the decades-old grub but is open to selling the preserved fast-food fries.

I had long forgotten about them but back when I was in kindergarten, I loved those things.
BTW the reason I remembered them was because our local Dairy Queen is now offering them again.
When I asked the kid at drive-through how much Dilly bars went for these days she told me $3.00 and change.
I am not sure who was more astonished, me or her-me at their current price or her when I told her I could remember getting them for ten cents!

Now if a McDonalds meal from today was found 60 years from now, I wouldn’t at all be surprised to find it looking remarkably intact.

I know someone who worked in the meat mass food production industry, on the wholesale food processing supply side. He literally watches sausages being made as well as hamburger, among many other meat and fish products. He loves McDs. Eats their “meals” all the time. I can’t bring up (without dispute) my observation from years of living on the road, that among all the fast food joints, the one I definitely can’t eat without suffering indigestion is the same. His counter is that meat quality at subway is much worse.
