(WSWS) Rick Snyder, the former Republican governor of Michigan, despised by millions in the US and internationally for his role in the poisoning of Flint’s water supply, gave his support to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on Thursday.
An op-ed in the Detroit Free Press announcing his support for Biden includes the claim that “President Trump … has demonstrated that he does not fully appreciate public policy matters, including public health…” One public health criminal denounces another.
The Biden campaign and the Democratic Party apparently welcome the support of the widely-hated governor who oversaw, lied and covered up the water poisoning. This shows how indifferent and hostile the Democrats are towards the 90,000 residents of Flint who overwhelmingly believe Snyder and his accomplices should be in jail. The losses suffered by Flint residents are incalculable—dozens, if not hundreds of preventable deaths, miscarriages, immense loss of income, plummeting home values and life-long illnesses for adults and particularly children.
(BIG skip)
The Biden campaign won’t be renouncing Snyder’s endorsement. In fact, the Democrats are so thrilled about winning his support that emails hailing the endorsement were blasted out within hours. What corporate or ruling class criminal will be next?

Snyder wants to stay out of jail.
The polling in Michigan must be god-awful for Trump.

He knows that Biden is much more corruptible than Trump. He has lots of investments in venture funds and I am sure he is looking to lobby for something from the Biden administration.

@hubheaver Right now the Real Clear Politics average has Biden up by a mere 2.6%, well within the margin of error. Throw in the hidden Trump bump of a couple of percent and another couple of percent for the enthusiasm gap(Nearly 70% of Trump supporters will definitely vote, only 40% of Biden’s), and Trump could easily carry Michigan again.
All this Snyder endorsement does is to dampen Black turnout even more, and the Democrats are too arrogant to admit it. Remember Biden’s campaign is being run by people like Rahm Emmanuel, the same people who did such a bang up job of electing Hillary.

Shout-out for my home state, Michigan!
In 2010, I came across posted comments—elsewhere—from self-identified Democrats from Michigan who were feeling pretty good about Rick Snyder and may be willing to elect him as Governor of Michigan.
He won his Republican pickup by +18 percentage points in Year #02 of the presidency of Democrat Barack Obama.
Michigan is one of those states on a pattern of electing White House opposition-party governors. So, Rick Snyder ran at the right time electorally.
I was not fooled. I had a feeling with this “lovable nerd” that he is a sociopath. Well, it turned out he is also a criminal.
Rick Snyder should be in prison; not endorsing a presidential candidate.

@colorsoftherainbow Of course, they’re not going to do that any more than Obama was going to drink Flint’s tap water.

We should have serial killers endorse United States presidential candidates.
It has gotten so low to a point that we may as well take it all the way.

@satan @colorsoftherainbow has a good idea. So who DOES Hitler prefer? Or Dahmer? Or…well, you can poll quite a large sample, I imagine.

@OhioBarbarian and @Satan,
I am thinking of the likes of Richard Speck and Charles Manson.
Manson wanted to be a part of Hollywood.
Speck wanted to relate to the Nurses Union.
Imagine the solidarity of them endorsing Joe Biden. (“Trump is too crazy for us.”)

Stalin is pretty much on board with anybody backed by the Koch brothers. As he should be, since his money is paying for it.
Dahmer doesn’t really follow politics, but he hates Trump just based on his eating habits. That infamous picture of Cheeto with the 666 metric tons of fast food laid out for some championship sports team (forget which one it was at the moment) really disgusted Jeff. He found it more disgusting than cannibalism.
Manson supports Cheeto because he’s coming close to realizing his own dream of the “Helter Skelter” race war

what about the also-rans like Baron Ungern-Sternberg and Emilio Massera? people only ever remember 3-4 dictators, and they’re all from the same century and basically visionless second-stringers

And the democrats are excited about this? LOL, what a bunch of clowns.
