Americans are skipping payments on mortgages, auto loans and other bills. Normally, that could mean massive foreclosures, evictions, cars repossessions and people’s credit getting destroyed.

But much of that’s been put on pause. Help from Congress and leniency from lenders have kept impending financial disaster at bay for millions of people. But that may not last for long.

The problem is, these efforts aim to create a financial bridge to the future for people who’ve lost their income in the pandemic — but the bridge is only half built. For one thing, the help still isn’t reaching many people who need it.
“When the $600-a-week unemployment insurance runs out at the end of July, most people expect tremendous displacement risk,” says Andrew Jakabovics with the affordable housing nonprofit Enterprise Community Partners. “Evictions are likely to go through the roof.

We were expendable to sustain your income and position… Selfish, selfish, selfish…. Nobody on capital hill gives a shit about all of this and 99% of us, and they knowingly pretend they do with less and less credibility.

Hell, no... I'm not giving up...

The shift comes as the state of the economy grows worse and more GOP senators call for action. But Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is already making clear Republicans will not support an extension of the extra unemployment benefits Congress passed in March. GOP lawmakers say the additional aid — which expires at the end of July — provides a disincentive to return to work and some are now proposing alternatives they can rally behind.

McConnell said in Louisville over the Senate’s Memorial Day recess that he is “still in favor of unemployment insurance,” but he strongly criticized the additional $600 each week unemployed workers get under the CARES Act, which he said hampered certain industries’ abilities to bring back workers as the economy reopens.

Former employer: come back to work now
          Former worker: don’t wanna
          Former employer: why?
Former worker: the work is BS, you are horrible boss, and don’t wanna work under you if I have any other option
Former employer: you should be grateful that I’m giving you a job.
Former worker: no, you are trying to by labor. If the pay is good enough, maybe I consider. Gimme million bucks for scrubbing your toilet.
Former employer: WHA!!!? No, that’s not how the system works…
Former worker: What system? Markets, supply and demand, what you keep telling capitalism is about?
Former employer: I’m so calling my Congressman.
Former worker: You mean it’s cheaper to buy a politician to cancel even this poor excuse of UBI than to pay fair market price for labor on free and leveled labor market? Go scrub your own toilet!
Former employer: Fuck you, I’m calling the cops to put your uppity ass back in its right place, slave. (goes to scrub toilet)
Former worker: Do as you will, Karen. (goes to join rebellion against systemic violence.)

Everything’s going to shit at the same time, and the government’s response is either nonexistent, woefully inadequate, or actually makes things worse. We are living in revolutionary times now. If the government does not change course, we ain’t seen nothing yet.

Time to organize by neighborhood blocks to make sure that the State Governor and District Election Officials are matcing the number of registered voters to the number of open voting places.  We the People will not tolerate any more Government lawmakers standing down from their responsibilities.  We will vote either in person or by mail-in, after telling our candidates this summer that they will be voted out of office for any and every kind of harassments over our voting rights.  We the People will let our candidates know that We are considering Term Limits and to stop Voter Suppression/Cheating Amendments, to the Constitution.  Same to the Supreme Court Justices-term limits.

This Spring, Our Treasury has been emptied by the Oligarchy Agents-the Congressional Lawmakers.  The Obama/Biden Administration allowed the first transfer of our treasury and wealth to the 1%.  Most of us have nothing left but our voice and action.  There should be a nation outcry for both Nancy and Mitch to be voted out of office for overseeing this theft.

2020 Campaign Season: We the People are in the fight for our lives and livelihoods.

We just don’t use it. It is called voting for someone else, or not voting for the canadate, i.e., leaving that spot blank. Write-in work also. With the corrupt in offices, running unopposed, many write-in sends a message.

Not all office holders are corrupt. The good people we want to remain in office. Term limits removes the good people, while leaving the corrupt to find ways to end run around the limits.

We are an arrogant species, believing our fantasy based "facts" are better than the other person's fake facts.

“They’ve said that they don’t want workers to get this money that they need to pay rent and groceries,” Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), who negotiated the unemployment provisions in the March package, argued in an interview. “It expires July 31. And we’ll see if they want all those workers hurting all summer long.”

We’re only talking summer months too. Wait until Covid-19 rips our collective butts clear thru the winter season of 2020/2021. Don’t hold your breath about any one vaccine saving the day either. Either the first vaccine rushed to the public fails or new mutated Covid viruses stays a couple steps ahead of the vaccine factory. Meanwhile, a few trillion bucks per month will be needed to keep a nation afloat. Man, I HOPE THAT I AM WRONG!
