      Do remember places I grew up and was able to find them. Most still exist.

      As far as passwords go, I keep a handwritten hard copy taped to the bottom of my keyboard.

      From the early 70’s. And vividly remember my mother telling me how to remember it. And my still best friend’s number from that time. But had some trouble remembering my PIN for a card I’ve been using for three decades this morning…sigh…

      When phones started going electronic in the 80s, many of them started including “speed dial” functions and now in the smart phone era, you can just say somebody’s name into a phone and dial it (if you like that voice activated dragonshit).

      So yeah, I’m an old Devil, but age ain’t the only reason I haven’t memorized a lot of phone numbers in recent years.

        @satan

        I read about a guy who was arrested.  The police took his cell phone.  Then they told him he could make his one phone call but he had to use one of their phones.

        He wanted to call his wife but he didn’t know her number.  Why should he?  It was on his phone.

      Later two more were added so all phone numbers could have seven.  Several years later there were area codes.
