We need to think of a name for these efforts to throw shade on our election process. They are not recounts, not investigations, not audits, not anything resembling a methodical, factual examination of anything. As a side note, it is crucial that we stop these people from getting their hands on ballots and other election materials and taking them to an “undisclosed location.” These are official records and must be protected and preserved, not kidnapped and held hostage in somebody’s basement. In Maricopa County, for example, any real audit is now impossible because the election materials have been tampered with and corrupted by the right wing nuts.

I’ve seen the term “fraudit” used in a few places. If this continues, it might make the 2021 OED word of the year shortlist.

If we don’t like the results of an audit, we’ll fraudit.

That refers to the whole contention of a stolen election.

If you want to get more specific, about the Arizona-type efforts in service of that lie, the term “fraudit” has been used.  MSM sources avoid that but go as far as “partisan audit” or “partisan re-examination” or something else that refuses to credit the assertion of impartiality.

      Treason.

A gentler option is subversion, which fits nicely.

Subversion refers to a process by which the values and principles of a system in place are contradicted or reversed in an attempt to transform the established social order and its structures of power, authority, hierarchy, and social norms. Subversion can be described as an attack on the public morale and, “the will to resist intervention are the products of combined political and social or class loyalties which are usually attached to national symbols. Following penetration, and parallel with the forced disintegration of political and social institutions of the state, these tendencies may be detached and transferred to the political or ideological cause of the aggressor”. Subversion is used as a tool to achieve political goals because it generally carries less risk, cost, and difficulty as opposed to open belligerency. Furthermore, it is a relatively cheap form of warfare that does not require large amounts of training. (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subversion)

Both the 2016 and 2020 Democratic primaries were subverted, but never investigated as the “approved” candidate was nominated.
