Sorry Joe, Rochelle, Tony, and the whole sick crew of authoritarians and Big Pharma and Media players:
This is likely to be smeared, bashed and attacked, and above all, to not see the light of day in MSM. To the extent it is given that reception, it is a legit article. Seems so, to me so far.

I’ve wanted to see information, and it’s not promising. But it is a peer-reviewed publication in the field of epidemiology.

They seem to be interested in how vaccination prevents new cases from occurring.   The right question is does the vaccine prevent new cases from becoming fatalities.  (It does.)

Vaccinated people can spread the virus as easily as unvaccinated people.   You are right that its main purpose is preventing fatalities.

Yeah, that is my very tentative conclusion after skimming through lots of articles as they come out: What the vaxes may buy you, no more and no less, is a few percentage points less chance of fatality if vaxed than unvaxed. But…not enough variables still in the best of those studies, too many types of people put into each category.
One that I remember fairly well from the past few weeks had roughly 5% fatality rate if hospitalized (among the older group) if vaxed and 14% fatality rate if hospitalized and unvaxed. Every percent further from the grave is nice, but people should also weigh that against the risks of the vaxes. Ultimately always an individual risk calculation.
Does the vax mandate premise even make sense at all (protecting people from dangerous Typhoid Mary people) if there is no correlation between transmissibility and whether a population is vaxed or unvaxed?
