I’m sure that JPR is just shocked, SHOCKED!

      https://readersupportednews.org/opinion2/277-75/69786-focus-obama-was-always-in-wall-streets-corner

Not yet in the White House but working the phones as if he were, Barack Obama won a crucial Senate vote Thursday clearing the release of $350 billion more in bailout funds from the Treasury Department’s controversial financial rescue program. For the incoming president, the 52-42 roll call represented a first major test of strength, and Obama threw himself into the fight, reaching out to senators on both sides of the aisle and making calls until he had won all but one of the seven Democratic freshmen elected in November.

Then, Obama held a White House meeting with bank CEOs to tell them “help me help you.” He used his bully pulpit to stop his own party’s efforts to prevent the bailout from subsidizing massive bonus payouts to American International Group (AIG).

And when some of that bank bailout money might have been redirected into helping Americans who were getting thrown out of their homes, Obama signed legislation to rescind his own authority to spend the cash on such a priority. Official Washington then pretended the bailouts were actually paid back, even though that self-serving talking point is complete bullshit.

Obama doesn’t seem to grant interviews to anyone who might mention these inconvenient facts — he seems only to give access to pundits and news outlets whose obsequiousness guarantees that they’ll never dare ask a single follow-up question. On that score, Klein loyally held up his end of the bargain, allowing Obama to pretend he was an enraged bailout opponent, even though he was the driving force behind the handouts to a finance industry that bankrolled his political career.

obama is so yesterday.  (some) people were so hopeful when he was elected.  he sold out the left, he sold out POC, he sold out anyone hoping his election was a harbinger of improved race relations (cause if he’d done more for the people, there would have been better relations between people, imo)

but he was good for crooks and liars

first black president — no different than the last run of white presidents – just another crook/liar

First off; forget the republicans/conservatives/teabaggers bitching about how that he was Noam Chomsky, Bernie Sanders and Karl Marx put together. We all knew these people were fucked up long before the orange shit gibbon gave them a place to hang their red caps on.

I’m talking about those who, when seeing his capitulation in deference RW economic policy, either delusion-ally denied it in hopes the “three dimensional chess” BS would turn a tactical retreat into victory, or worse: those that saw it for what it was and knew he actually agreed with it and didn’t care because they were both financially comfortable and were concerned only with social issues…AKA virtue signalling.

Not an anomaly or an outrider.  That is what mystifies me about those who are still bleating about Trump – they really have to know things were deliberately in the toilet long before Trump.  The Democratic Party picked Trump as a distraction from the Democratic Party, and fuck me if it STILL isn’t working.  They just miscalculated a bit, IMO, but are pleased with the results.

As @djean111 says, he IS 100% a Democrat. Filthy rich with a Netlix gig, surfing in Hawaii, with a mansion in Hollywood, a summer cottage on Martha’s Vineyard and a pied-a-terre in DC …

It’s what we’ve come to expect from the con artists running America’s party of the left, working families and minorities.

Obama’s bound to have committed more cons since then…oh yeah! How about pressuring the Democrat candidates to drop out and support Joe Biden? That’s got to be one of his best cons ever.

Corporate America consists of totalitarian entities laser-focused on short-term greed.

If you just got finessed into calling the medicine that won the 2015 Nobel Prize for its role in treating human disease ‘horse de-wormer’ then you need to sit the next couple of plays out.

Not as completely as some, but fooled enough to go the lesser of two evils route after his first term.Heck,I even got  to meet the man and shake his hand!

I don’t regret campaigning for him in 2008 but I won’t do anything like that again.

The problem isn’t even politicians like Barack-I wrote an autobiography before I was 30-Obama, but their lemming followers who refuse to admit that they were/are wrong about these grifters, and what they really are or became, no matter how much evidence is presented. And then they spend all their energy fighting those who tell the truth instead of those who hide it.

All governments lie to their citizen's, but only Americans believe theirs.

        This:

That would apply to not only to BO, but to both Clinton terms and indeed the whole DNC led machine that tossed out every last vestige of the party of FDR.

When Obama won I was still hoping he would prove me wrong. He wasn’t all-bad, but pretty much what I was expecting — which wasn’t much.

Someone gave me his latest book “A Promised Land”. The book is 700 pages. He said there will be a Part 2. Since it was free I thought I would give it a try. I read a couple hundred pages. Boring. Too many boring details. The inside cover says $45. Boring AND overpriced.

Early on.  Carefully groomed.  Important, too, IMO, to run him before he accumulated any scandal or corporate warmongering record.  The media never reported on Michelle’s “bus the poor uninsured away from her employers’ ER, to poorer hospitals” scheme.  If a GOP candidate’s wife – or Jane Sanders – had done that, it would have front page news.   The deal was struck very early on.  IMO, etc.

Like Biden said – “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

All whilst pummeling everyone (Us) for being unrealistic and wanting Ponies and Unicorns. They were the adults in the room, remember? It was and is still a totally disgusting display of boot licking without an upside that I can see. All they want from us is money…they have no intention of doing anything above the minimum that would improve the average persons life. I actually hate this man and all that he stands for.

Such a disappointment. We needed another FDR and all we got was another Clinton without the stained dress.
