Given the DNC’s insistence on pre-picking the candidates, hyping Russiagate and continuing all of the strategies that lost in 2016…

Probably not happening, though still possible.

Because at least 30% of the U.S. population are idiots. And we can always trust the Dems to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

If a recession hits next year and drags on into 2020, he has zero chance. That is fairly likely, BTW.

It took FDR 4 ballots at the Dem convention to win the nomination but the rest is history. Of course, for history to repeat itself Bernie will have to win the Dem nomination. Perhaps Trump will not be the modern Hoover (though his policies would make Herbert smile from the grave), if the DNC rescues him. 🙂

National issues (slavery/racism, income inequality, pandemics and pathetic health care, weak unions) are not solved with more states' rights. Global problems (climate change, migration, trade, war, pandemics) are not solved with more nationalism.

the DNC refuses to embrace popular candidates and policies.
Hillary’s approval rating is now lower than Trump’s and they haven’t ruled out running her again:

will say that we should still be in Syria and increase our presence in Afghanistan. This is enough for most Americans to not vote for the War party.

Trump is giving the Repukes and the DINOs exactly what they want.
Same as ZerObama.
At this point, I would write in Sanders.

to screw things up completely, Trump has zero shot at reelection. Don’t be fooled by 2016, even though a lot of the same horse sheet is bound to happen. This is why it is going to be immensely important that we come out in force for Bernie.
Here is a bright light. Here in Arizona, according to the AZ Data Guru who looks at election stats like somebody possessed…he reported that the 18 to 34 year old age group came out in extremely higher percentages than any other age group. THAT should be GREAT for Bernie here in Arizona if he can hold onto the same youth demographic.
Now YOU can help!

Sure, in a normal era, Trump would be easily defeated by anyone half-way decent. But these are not normal times.
The problem is we have never been this divided before…at least not since the civil war. We have two sides that absolutely despise each other and have no intention of ever compromising on anything. Both sides want a completely different America.
Trump is also not a typical political animal. Countless things he has done would have sank any traditional politician ages ago. But he keeps on trucking with a extremely loyal base.
Plus….the Democrats likely won’t nominate anyone half-way decent.

But just couldn’t. As it stands right now, Sanders is the only person who can beat Trump. After what happened in 2016, I am skeptical the DNC will “allow” him to win the nomination.
I live in a conservative area, in a county that was bright red for Trump in 2016. Despite that, when Sanders visited on a cold week night in February 2016, the 10,000 seat arena was packed, and a few thousand outside, willing to wait until he arrived late just before 10. He had a lot of support here. Had he been the nominee, believe my county would have still gone for Trump, but not by as wide a margin. The state as a whole would have been won by Sanders.
But good luck trying to get the DNC to ever understand that.
