Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because both believe in advancing corporate interests by means of State power.–Benito Mussolini

Joe Biden, rightfully derided as the Senator from MBNA for years, advocate of slashing Social Security, is now the nominee for President of the United States of the party of FDR and LBJ. Mussolini would recognize a fellow Fascist, just as he would see another Fascist in Kamala Harris.

Harris is literally a whore to power. She got her start on her back for Willie Brown, then Speaker of the California Assembly and later the well-connected Mayor of San Francisco. She was a county prosecutor, then California Attorney General, who prided herself on locking up nonviolent drug offenders and even single mothers of truant children.

Both are opposed to eliminating cash bail, which punishes only the working class for the profit of a few, and to abolishing private prisons, who exploit slave labor for corporate profit. Harris’ English Jamaican and Indian caste system heritage comes shining through, as does Biden’s own white supremacy, just on those issues alone. I could go on and on about their abysmal records from any reasonably progressive point of view, but most of you here are well aware of them. I’ll make just a few points.

Anyone who says they are voting for Biden/Harris in the name of racial justice is either a liar or an ignorant fool. The same applies to anyone who says that a vote for Biden/Harris is a vote for economic or environmental justice or for world peace. Or for getting money out of politics and ending political corruption. Or for health care or housing as human rights. Or for Black Lives Matter and defunding and demilitarizing the jackbooted thugs in blue our police have become. Their records speak for themselves, loudly and clearly to anyone who takes the time to make even a cursory examination.

But Trump!, some will cry. Fine. If you want to vote for what you consider to be the lesser evil, that is your right as an American citizen. If you think Trump is a greater threat to what’s left of the American Republic or to the environment or anything else and that’s reason enough for you to vote for the Other Guys, that is your right.

But don’t tell me or anyone else who refuses to do so that we are somehow morally compromised because a Biden or Harris Administration will have any intention of making the fundamental changes that are necessary for the United States, and perhaps the world, to survive, much less thrive. Don’t tell us that they can be pressured into changing their positions by anything other than direct action that terrifies them and their corporate puppetmasters.

Don’t tell us that this ticket is progressive in any way, shape, or form.

Don’t you dare call us privileged because we refuse to vote for a pair of privileged Fascist elites who don’t give a fuck about the majority of people in America and the rest of the world. Don’t tell us that Trump is a Nazi, Pence is a theocrat, but these two Democratic Party Fascists are fighters for representative democracy which is accountable to the people of this country. Don’t lie about it. Don’t insult our intelligence.

If you do, you’re only wasting your time, for we will see right through you just as we see right through Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. That means you, Bernie Sanders. That means you, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. That means you, all of you Democratic voters out there.

That is all for now. Thanks for reading, have a good night, and be true to yourselves and each other.

      Hi ob,

Righteous Rant.  This citizen is looking forward to the finest “Kabuki Theater” to be found on planet earth as Americans convince themselves their choices are anything but Fascists.  No matter Biden/Harris or Trump/Pence, the outcome is the same – more Fascism and less Democracy.  It matters not the delivery – soft glove or hard fist – the result is the same – more for the 1% and less for everyone else.

A hearty “like”, and favorited. Glad to see the fires of sensibility still burning against the onslaught of all the mindless VBNMW muck.

And the ONLY thing the vote for the blue shills can bloviate about is Trump.  Maybe a whinge of Russia.  Biden/Harris is pretty much open about not doing anything at all for American citizens.  Or the world, really, except for the rich.

Everything I post is just my opinion, and, honestly, I would love to be wrong.

There is no difference between the two parties. They have melded into one party controlled by Corporations and the filthy rich.

Neither party deserves any votes from the voting public. Why anyone would vote for anyone in either party is beyond me. None of them cares about the peasants. Perfect example – COVID-19 response.

You write that, in assessing whether there is any difference between the two parties, the perfect example is COVID-19 response.

      I concur.
