A slate of uber-progressive Sanders allies, endorsed by the tightly organized Democratic Socialists of America’s local chapter, won control of the Nevada Democratic Party in leadership elections on Saturday. On the losing side was one of the most powerful forces in Democratic politics: the well-oiled operation run by former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

This Politico article isn’t quite as biased as one might expect, though of course it gives corporate Democrats a lot of space to say how the Sanders people in Nevada “have no experience at winning elections” and things like that to dismiss them. I personally think that Democrats change progressives, and not the other way around, but these people are trying to do something positive in their state, and I wish them well:
Five years ago, Bernie Sanders’ supporters were steamrolled by the Democratic establishment in Nevada’s presidential caucus.
This weekend, pro-Sanders forces finally got their revenge.
The takeover of the state party, aka the Reid machine, represents a dramatic turnaround from the 2016 presidential race, when Sanders fans were accused of throwing chairs and making violent threats at a wild convention in Nevada — charges they vehemently deny to this day.

It’s nice to see Harry chalk up one more loss. Except this time it’s a personal loss for him, and not the usual loss for the workers of Nevada.

Let’s see where it goes from here.

(1) There is a big difference between “tried of a group’s shit” and “revenge.” Harry Reid was the Democratic Senate Leader during the Bush years. Reid did not meet a Republican he did not like. As a matter of fact, he felt sorry for them. Reid helped Bush with Middle East Wars, Spying on Americans, The Torture Program, Run away Wall Street rules which hurt the common person, not the banks.
(2) These people under Reid are Class A liars. Even Political puts this line in their commentary, “… when Sanders fans were accused of throwing chairs and making violent threats at a wild convention in Nevada — charges they vehemently deny to this day.” Reid and company made a power move which members of the Democratic Party did not appreciate. To cover this power move, the media was instructed to say, ‘There was violence.’ Barbara Boxer even walked off of the stage giving Democratic members the finger. Boxer, Reid, the Clinton Campaign really showed their ass in that event.
It took many years to get the Democrat power players out of Nevada. Now they are acting like sore losers. Who does that remind me of?

Instead of saying, “With all the phone cameras that were in the room that day, no one has EVER posted a video that shows flying chairs being thrown by Bernie supporters”, they cop out with that kind of bullshit,
“There’s a new spirit abroad in the land. The old days of ‘grab and greed’ are on their way out. We’re beginning to think of what we owe the other fellow, not just what we’re compelled to give him. The time’s coming… when we shan’t be able to fill our bellies in comfort while others go hungry, sleep in warm beds while others shiver in the cold.... And God willing, we’ll live to see that day…” Basil Rathbone,"Sherlock Holmes Faces Death" (Universal 1943)
