York protester throws eggs at King Charles III – The Washington Post

Nice sculpture even if it looks more like Victoria than Elizabeth.

The expression on that statue is arrogant and authoritarian.

If they wanted to accurately portray QE2, they ought to have striven for humble, dignified and constipated, as she always appeared in reality.

I never thought of Queen Elizabeth as belligerent.

it seems like she’s in shrouds, her position is not Her as she ever really appeared publicly, the facial expression is campy. The British Royal Family doesn’t DO public displays of emotion, or at least QE2 never did. And so the sort of hawkish air to the statue is so wrong, IMO. Too Marvel Universe.

The reason she always carried one was so mummy could save the king a rather large order of bacon.

Neither represents her visually nor in overall personality. Unfortunate no matter how one feels.

Maybe the egg hurler should have glued themselves to the statue.

Elizabeth had her “look”: tailored suits and dresses, a hat, mid-height pumps, and an over the arm handbag.  I can’t even imagine her with an over the shoulder purse.

      Oh….and a brooch with pearls.

      The statue is awful.
