Heard that Esper was fired because he did not withdraw the troops from Afghanistan fast enough for Trump to claim credit for it during the 2020 elections.

I doubt even Trump believes he really has a shot at overturning the election without some pretty drastic moves. And why bother replacing everyone on your way out, unless you’re trying to accomplish something during your final days that the old guard won’t cooperate with?
Destruction is easy; creation is hard, but more interesting.

@snot. Yes, I’m thinking this is an ominous turn too. Putting in place generals who will obey orders and shoot American protesters when they try and void Biden’s election, however they try and do it, and keep him in power as long as possible.
All governments lie to their citizen's, but only Americans believe theirs.

BREAKING: Trump has installed Kash Patel as chief of staff at the Pentagon, a former Nunes staffer and now in the NSC, as WH officials move the chess pieces around following Esper's abrupt firing yesterday @wstrobel @nancyayoussef https://t.co/LQYbDAEZZ3

Who is Kash Patel, Indian American official caught in the Ukraine scandal?
Kashyap “Kash” Patel, an Indian American official in President Donald Trump’s National Security Council, is at the center of a controversy for his alleged involvement in the Ukraine scandal.
Refuting the charges leveled against him Patel, Senior Director of counter terrorism at NSC, has filed a defamation law suit against Politico as well as journalist Natasha Bertrand.Politico had reported Patel’s involvement in Trump’s reported plan to withhold $400 million in military aid to Ukraine to pressure the new Ukrainian president to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden.
The suit has been filed in a Virginia state court against the American political opinion company, Politico which alleged that Patel presented himself as an imposter Ukraine expert in the White House…
Patel joined the White House in February. He is better known as the principal author of Nunes Memo issued by Nunes accusing FBI and the Justice Department of bias against Trump…
Patel is apparently a Trump true believer and “true patriot” per the comments…

None of the people Trump is firing are good, honorable, principled people. They’re all Fascist bastards. We need to remember that whilst we are being bombarded with how loyal they were to the Constitution and all that other garbage by the liberal corporate media.

@coldmountaintrail Trump will do nothing except bitch and play golf, and then he will leave. No shots will be fired. There will be no Trump coup.
