Now the liberals are demanding the firing of a sign language interpreter because she’s a Trump supporter. Is she good at her job? Yes or no. End of story. Pretty soon, they’ll demand all Republican cooks and janitors be sacked. Attention, people. This is Trump bullshit, firing people because of their political loyalty or associations.

I heard this on the news today. I thought it was out of line.

Then they turn around and do petty stuff like this, and wonder why people get disgusted. Sure, Republicans do the same thing, but liberals say they’re better than that.

      Guess not.

        is morally superior.

If we wanted to show moral superiority, I would’ve pulled down every fence and removed every (visible) security member. I expect security, of course – it just shouldn’t be blatant to show you don’t trust your citizens.

….but if I were the President, and not fluent in sign language myself (I’m guessing Joe is not) I would want to be sure that whomever was interpreting my words would do so correctly. That goes for sign language, or for any spoken language interpreter that might be sitting in when Joe meets with foreign leaders.

Some mortals can separate their personal politics from their job responsibilities. Other’s can’t, and in the case of Cheeto’s supporters, we have already seen what lengths they will take their extremism. I would say it depends on which end of the spectrum this woman falls into that determines whether or not she’s suitable for that job. It’s completely reasonable that a President wouldn’t want somebody deliberately misinterpreting his words as a form of political sabotage, but to fire somebody merely for a voting record…. well ironically enough, that would be kinda Trumpian.

Destruction is easy; creation is hard, but more interesting.
