The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.....Martin Luther King '63

It takes all the technical proficiency our system can provide to make up for the woeful lack of popular support and political savvy of most of the regimes that the West has thus far sought to prop up.........Bernard Fall

I am disgusted with the Biden/US/NATO/Zelensky/EU apologists.  Really disgusted.

America is not a country, it's just a business. (Brad Pitt, Killing Them Softly)

"Sometimes when I try to understand a person's motives, I play a little game. I assume the worst. What's the worst reason they could possibly have for saying what they say and doing what they do? Then I ask myself, 'How well does that reason explain what they say and what they do?'" Baelish

VFTBNMW is, IMO, literally "take the blue pill".

…I do agree with them here. (Ted G. Carpenter listed above).

Furthermore I don’t recall ever being in agreement with Robert Gates, but once again I am in agreement here.

And I find myself in the strange position of agreement with that old war monger Henry Kissinger(sp?) and Donald Trump who are both calling for negotiations between the U.S. and Russia.

I hope and pray that things get resolved over in Ukraine to Russia’s satisfaction because I do believe such a closure will be the least costly in lives lost.

The US, and all of the West, very explicitly say that they’re not involved in this war.

Any settlement has to be between Ukraine and Russia – and it’s not likely as long as these non-involved countries send more and heavier weapons.

Frankly I do not see Zelensky and Russia coming to the negotiation table without the West’s direct interference.

Recent history proves that point well enough.

It’s time, perhaps even time too late for the West to pull out of this fight paving the way for Ukrainian Russian negotiations ..

…but IMHO, those first steps must come from the West.

          Russia understands who they fight.

They know that there are precious few untrained by the West Ukranian soldiers left still fighting.

IMHO, the ball of peace or the ball of Armageddon is in the West’s court.
