With Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) entering the 2020 presidential fray, establishment figures on both Right and Left are scrambling to smear the anti-war congresswoman with impeccable identity-politics bona fides.
Ever since her 2017 visit to Syria, Gabbard has been condemned for daring to seek firsthand accounts rather than blindly trusting the MSM narrative, so on Friday the pundits were again off to the races, with fresh accusations of Assad-sympathizing.

Their fear smells so sweet! The fact that they are afraid is more proof that they are indeed vulnerable to a real challenge from the left. Otherwise, they would, at most, mock Tulsi.

that’s how they hit at Witness for Peace going to Nicaragua in the 1980s: “of course they’re going to go there and come back with negative stories, they’ve shown that they’ve prejudged the situation by expressing doubt about the US government’s reporting of the truth, which they’ve shown by going down to see for themselves!!!”

Their fear of Tulsi Gabbard is validation of her authenticity. I bet she loves it, or at least she should,
From the Telegraph:

Researchers have found that chemical signals emitted by the body in sweat when scared really can be picked up by others and can trigger fear in their brains.“Go and tell Alexander that God the Supreme King is never the Author of insolent wrong, but is the Creator of light, of peace, of life, of water, of the body of man and of souls;...what Alexander offers and the gifts he promises are things to me utterly useless;..." One particularly good thing about Gabbard is that she’s a relatively inexperienced politician. Which translates to a short baggage train for the vultures to pick over. Unlike some of her opponents for the nomination.

That kinda reminds me of Obama. The whole Gabbard thing reminds me of Obama.

Caitlin Johnstone called this over a year ago:
“If they don’t tear her down now, she could easily become the 46th President of the United States.”

I doubt that she’s well enough known to get the Prez nomination but has a shot at at the VP slot as someone to “add balance” to a more moderate candidate. k
In a way it’s a win/win proposition. The moderates know they can’t attract the conservative so have to attract the left. The Left knows it can’t win without the moderates so they have attract the moderates.
In any case the race for the Democratic nomination is going to be very entertaining.
In the end I think we will end up with a slightly leftish prez candidate balanced by a moderate VP.

Though she would be a long-shot, I have more confidence than you that she has a chance because she speaks so authoritatively on the perils of war (like your Avatar). That anti-empire-building voice is so desperately needed by the American people right now, and I think her position would ring true.
