completely independent and to report only facts, leaving “Opinions” to the imagination of each individual watcher. I have watched it only a couple days. I find that Newsy also does offer a variety of news much larger than, say, either MSNBC or CNN.
For those of you who subscribed to Verizon, Newsy is on Channel 113 (also 613). You do get to see more of what’s going on in other parts of the world, too.

…a Devil’s initial impressions of the network was that they were trying to be the video equivalent of USA Today, which marketed itself as “the newspaper for all Americans” when it made it’s debut in the 1980s.
Newsy is widely available though. Unlike the CNN/MSNBC/FAUX types, they are accessible (even legally so) to cord-cutters, included in Pluto TV, a plug in for Kodi, probably a Roku channel (no Roku devices here in Hell, but I’m guessing) and apps for various “smart TV” platforms.
So anybody who wants to check it out, it should be easy enough to find, whatever your preferred choice of “TV” might be.

I suppose that makes it no worse than AP or Reuters. Better than MSNBC or Fox.

EW Scripps founded his first paper in 1878, so Scripps has been around for 140 years. From Wikipedia:
E. W. would lend money to promising young, local newspaper publishers, and buy the most successful one, having 51% share of the paper. Once bought, he did not “sell out,” but held on to the paper….Among the innovations E. W. made were distributing newspapers to the suburbs and, with his brother James, of getting the bulk of income from advertisers instead of subscribers.
In 1907, Scripps created United Press Associations, later the UPI news service, from smaller regional news services…
