A poacher hunting rhinos in a huge game reserve was trampled to death by an elephant and eaten by a pride of lions .
The man was part of a group of poachers in Kruger NatiLonal Park (KNP), South Africa, on Wednesday.
It is believed they alarmed the elephant who charged at the victim near Crocodile Bridge, deep in the reserve.
The lions then mauled the man, and reportedly left “very little remains”.

I am moderately concerned for the elephants and the lions now.
Someone might accuse them of conspiracy to rid the planet of idiots…and one can only imagine what a worrisome slippery slope that might turn into.

Too bad the people who pay for the poached animals do not get trampled and eaten. Until that happens, poaching will continue.
Sometimes it is for the money that folks need due to resettlement and unemployment. Sometimes it is because there are big bucks to be made from those who profit from the poaching. Sometimes it is for food on the table. Really, rich people can pay money and shoot anything they want, but a poor African cannot. No, I am not excusing poaching, I am saying the root cause needs to be addressed.
