Tonight, Pelosi introduced “legislation” (just a resolution really) calling on Mike Pence to take care of the problem. He won’t, but since some GOP objected to unanimous consent, they are going to spend tomorrow (Tuesday) debating this meaningless, non-binding resolution.

Tuesday night, they will probably pass the resolution, which says they will wait 24 hours for Pence to respond. That brings us to Wednesday night, when they have no word from Pence, when they will attempt unanimous consent on the article of impeachment. Again, some Repugs will object, so debate some more on Thursday.

Thursday night, if all goes well, they will impeach and send the letter to the Senate.

Friday morning, Mitch McConnell will get right on it. Or not. They probably do have 60 votes for cloture, but I don’t see it happening until at least Monday, which is 2 days before Trump leaves office anyway.
