Put on your seat belts Berners, it’s going to be a ride… these folks want a corporate dem or a republican.. which is essentially the same. This is shaping up to be a class war on steroids.#Bernie2020 #FridayMotivation https://t.co/VyE77xCsH9

with lies and stupid nicknames will be an enduring achievement.
The Big Lie: "Make the lie big, Make it simple, Keep saying it, And eventually they will believe it." AH.
"Arguments must therefore be crude, clear and forcible, and appeal to emotions and instincts, not the intellect." JG
National issues (slavery/racism, income inequality, pandemics and pathetic health care, weak unions) are not solved with more states' rights. Global problems (climate change, migration, trade, war, pandemics) are not solved with more nationalism.

Or a Bernie surrogate….or bust.
“Bernie or Bust” is more of a symbolic phrase now and I believe it will live on when Bernie is absent from the political scene. Remember…..Bernie is a product of us. We are not a product of Bernie. You can’t kill an idea. Indeed, long after Bernie is gone, I believe “Bernie or Bust” will be an enduring political phrase based upon symbolic intent alone.
I plan to use the term “Bernie or Bust” for the rest of my life.

forever.
“We’re about to have an election in which Incompetent A is going to be contesting with Incompetent B when both of them have demonstrated nothing remotely like any shred of adequacy to the scope of the problems we face.”

Stop and ponder how stupid some folks are to actually believe that. Or they are in such denial that they cannot accept reality. .
Like a switch was turned on in 2016 and suddenly a large swath of the population was suddenly bamboozled. That we were all in with Hillary and then, all of a sudden, we weren’t.
Hell, folks are even calling HER “madam President” because she actually won….or something like that. This just in…if she won, she would be sitting in the oval office right now.
Full on delusional.

Either we’re all a bunch of crazy idiots or we’re the last bastion of sanity. Sometimes I get to wondering…
Then I snap out of it, we’re not the idiots but it’s hard sharing the same airspace with these glib dildos.

I notice this too, intelligent enough on paper, but so misinformed. I’ve known these people a long time too. My observations lead me to the conclusion that they just don’t think very deeply…think about the actual issues very deeply: certainly not beyond what watching 20 minutes of MSM cable news would bear. So basically their arguments sound like a cavalcade of MSM talking points, though some try to paraphrase them in a way to make it seem they came to their opinions through thoughtful deliberation.

So many people! I’ll tell ya that is some strange shi+ indeed. It’s like awakening from a dream and reality is just a little off but you don’t know why.

I doubt this crap will induce a Bernie supporter to vote for a Vichy Dem – it is, IMO, more designed to keep more folks from defecting. Buck up the troops. Public face/private face.
They are coming from the viewpoint of thinking we are all on the same page about beating Trump no matter what or who. Nope. Their “no matter what (or who)” is heinous, and again IMO, will swiftly do more damage to us than Trump can dream of. Austerity, war, TPP, cut/privatize Social Security and Medicare. I bet the legislation has already been written.
The DNC/Third Way is the national version of ALEC. ALEC writes the legislation, their little pet politicians submit it, someone in Florida forgot to take the ALEC letterhead off of a bill.

Bernie took a stand (on Mental Health, or Housing, or Guns) and the pundits twisted his statement against him. This is precisely why Third Way Dems never take a stand. They are afraid of public perception. They can’t defend themselves under pressure, because they don’t really believe in the power of the people, and they therefore don’t hold the public’s trust like Bernie does.
Bernie’s stand is solid and unshakeable.
“Go and tell Alexander that God the Supreme King is never the Author of insolent wrong, but is the Creator of light, of peace, of life, of water, of the body of man and of souls;...what Alexander offers and the gifts he promises are things to me utterly useless;..." those stands would be twisted against them? Nope! NO. Their stands are for austerity and war and cutting entitlements and for things like the TPP. They don’t take those stands strongly, in public, because they are such horrid stands, that’s all. They just wait out the elections, take the money, and make sure nothing progressive is passed. They do not care one tiny bit about what the public thinks, at this point. Irrelevant.

The Third Way Dems don’t take progressive stands because they are not progressive. When they say that popular programs won’t sell, they really mean the programs won’t sell to the donor class.
This is why they yearn for another rock star like Obama. Someone handsome, articulate, and intelligent that will win based upon personality cult, not policy. Swoon over Beto’s height or Kamala’s gender and then link Third Way sites that show elaborate pretzel logic to define them as more progressive than Bernie. Don’t look at the stump speeches or the track record. Just fall in line because the candidate is adorable and carefully constructed for our consumption.

The answer may lie in designating a separate “certifiable” title into a “Progressive Dem Caucus” or a new Party called “Progressives’ or something along those lines. Why they have not taken those steps to set themselves apart I do not know. I think it has to be done to help wade through all the c–P coming down the line.

They did in 2016 and 2018 atleast 90% did. I used to think progressives are smarter than repugs but 2016 and 2018 proved other wise. Even after 2 years of no proof progressives voyed in Manchin and other vichy dems lets hope 2020 would be different , though I highly doubt it
Never expect different result by following the previous steps
