Sanders, Schumer reach deal on Biden budget(or Bernie sells out progressives AGAIN)

(WSWS) Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Budget Committee Chairman Bernie Sanders announced late Tuesday that they had reached agreement on the broad outlines of a budget resolution for the fiscal year that begins October 1, setting a $3.5 trillion ceiling on new social spending by the Biden administration.
A few critical observations can be made at this stage. First, whatever passes will provide only a minute fraction of what is required to meet the vast social needs of American working people. Second, it will impose only the slightest of burdens, if any at all, on the vast incomes and wealth of the super-rich.
The latter point can be grasped immediately by comparing the size of the total package, $3.5 trillion over 10 years, with the increase in wealth of the top one percent of the American population, $10 trillion in a single year.
The $3.5 trillion top-line number, presented in the media—and by the Democrats themselves—as a huge commitment of resources, amounts to an average of $350 billion a year, or 3.5 percent of the additional wealth accumulated by the top one percent just this year alone.

This Country, its infrastructure and the entire U.S. economic empire is going to crumble. Not in one day, maybe not even in a year… But the days are numbered. Any King in history that behaved this way would have most likely lost his crown and maybe even his head.
Now though, we have “democracy” and a whole gaggle of nasty little fuckers who think they are Queens and Kings.
Fuck em. They are bringing about their own collapse. You can’t maintain shit if you don’t tax the rich. As infrastructure keeps on breaking and climate change and its effects continue to devestate… The cost of repair and renewal will only grow.
Insane crime and murder rates, lowering average life expectancy. A Nation full of overwhelming debt…
It is all too much. All of it could have been avoided, too. Sooner or later though, you have to pay the piper.

Kinda sickening, though – anything good for the people must be fought and haggled for. Well, a WWF-Style fake fight, that is. Some fucking democracy. Not.
