Nick Saban is the head football coach for Alabama. He makes something like ten million dollars a year. The university will not divulge his exact salary because it’s embarrassingly high. He is complaining that the Auburn coach took advantage of his stupidity by tricking him into an illegal substitution. I love situations like this. These college football coaches are like little kings, demanding and receiving whatever they want from their schools. I love it when they act like babies.

I’m so sick of the Alabama Crimson Tide I just find it refreshing when they lose a couple of games in the season and have no shot at the national championship. Someone else’s turn this year. It may even be a team that’s not part of the SEC, which would be wonderful.

I am an auburn graduate and fan. beating ‘bama is a wonderful event that requires the highest level of preparation and effort and a whole lot of luck. that said, i still do not understand the last second of the first 1/2 yesterday.

there still may be 2 sec teams in the tournement, but at least ‘bama will not be among them.

@ohio barbarian ohio state has been very impressive this year. if they can beat lsu or clemson they deserve to be #1. the fourth team may be georgia (pending next weeks game with lsu) but could be baylor or oklahoma,

@rampart My alma mater’s Texas. Longhorns. I don’t give a damn about Ohio State, and frankly the adoration they get up here is annoying sometimes, but I do know a championship caliber college team when I see one and the Buckeyes certainly fit the description this year.

College sports is the one area where I let my anti-Southern bias come out and play. I’ll pull for Ohio State over almost any team from the South. Doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy Auburn beating ‘Bama. Being from Texas, I naturally believe that Texas isn’t the South–it’s its own thing. Actually, it really is.

Since you went to Auburn…what is it about all of these TV sportcasters who went to Auburn and can’t keep track of which NFL team has the ball? Or is  communications where Auburn shuffled off the dimmer bulbs to get their degrees? At Texas, it was management. The scary thing is these assholes became managers anyway.

Overpaid asshead. His players do all the work while he and the university get paid millions.
