After being miserable for most of the afternoon I came back here before going to bed – 11:30PM EST. And grouped near the top of the “Latest” posts were @roguevalley (thankyou), @halfcenturyman , @willyt all with well thought out and graceful arguments. And there was the sad JPRExit of @joentoko – I’ll miss you. But my point is that JPR is dear to me and the people are thoughtful, forgiving, eloquent at times and it’s plain heartwarming.
I feel much better than I did most of the day. Thanks to all. Keep a faith!

Is that not the case?
I feel a bit like you, as earlier today I tried to log-on and it was totally so slow that my macbook pro had to labor long and hard to finally come up with a “there is no connection here” or some such (I do not recall the exact words) and this went on for 20 minutes or so .. and I had seen a JPR membership notice that the site is closing at the end of April. I imagined that whatever forces were at work to kill JPR had performed an earlier execution than originally imagined … My world became instantly darker and more empty of meaning and comfort.
I have seen no discussion about this JPR demise but maybe it happened and I missed it. Just a shout out to my JPR buddies … especially to @Thou Art That … wtf?
Love and solidarity to all my JPR friends ..

It’s not going anywhere, but to become better.
And I do appreciate the posts late this evening as well. We need to treat all of us here, even those we don’t agree with well. As long as they aren’t trolling or harassing.
My fear is that there will be no easy solutions for any of us going forward, or for our society, but I try to keep it to myself.
In America, “Liberty” means “Free to Die in Service of Capital” - Amfortas the hippie.
Most of today’s elites have the moral and social reasoning capacities of spoiled toddlers.
“People of privilege will always risk their complete destruction rather than surrender any material part of their advantage...but the privileged also feel that their privileges, however egregious they may seem to others, are a solemn, basic, God-right. The sensitivity of the poor to injustice is a trivial thing c

You did know that the “end of April” was done on April Fool’s Day, right?
We’re all here, before, during and after the ebb and tides of site slowness… But, we are here and we are all changed by the decision of Sanders yesterday, for sure, but not by the change we still seek to be part of.
Hell, no... I'm not giving up...

Sometimes I’m a little slow on the uptake and that was one of them. But Punxsutawney straightened me out.

Thanks for tipping your hand and exposing your true self. Maybe the more we all do that the better it will get.

Yes and hopefully saying right but Had an injury last fall (timing not good atm, really been effecting me, haven’t been same since. Although timing of any injury), hip and got nerve pain but it’s hasn’t been getting better, worse, it’s a mess. Thinking last wk to better start putting my full energy before to late to devoting myself full (whatever was doing was not good enough) and into trying to figure this out. Anyhow, so might not get to spend much time as I want here ( folks etc. are here when get can get back).
