Soros Caught Red-Handed Funding Anti-Trump Protests, Paying Protesters

BREAKING: Soros Caught Red-Handed Funding Anti-Trump Protests, Paying Protesters $15/hr

    Claire Bernish – November 16, 2016

In a November 9 article in Business Insider discussing the emergence of protests around the nation, a featured photograph by the Associated Press shows students marching in the streets holding banners. One reads, “Trump = Always Racist” — but along the bottom of that banner is a curious suggestion to “Text NeverTrump to 877-877.”

When you do just that, you will receive an automatically-generated reply text with the opening line, “Welcome to UWD – let’s stop Trump together” with the option to reply “Help” for more information. Doing so reveals UWD is “United We Dream” — an immigrant advocacy organization receiving funding from none other than George Soros’ Open Society Foundations.

      1. Re- Soros,

I’ve seen a number of vaguely ominous claims about him, but remain unclear on his agenda.  Referral to a reliable summary backed by links to sources would be very helpful.

        6. His agenda is anti-communism and making money.

He hires people to organize protests to create political instability, then he buys up assets for a discount. Although correction…he doesn’t personally hire them. There’s several layers of separation through various organizations and groups. But yea, he’s the head astroturfer.

          26. If by being anti-communist, you mean he is willing

To de-stabilize totally functioning societies, even if doing so creates a means for neo-Nazis and skin heads to oppose those labelled “communists, such as what happened in the Ukraine, then I’d guess he is “anti-communist.”

However, he is most often  the proto-typical Greed Meister, who has ruined entire small nations by devaluing their currency. And yes, that might be “legal” but it is immoral to cause millions of people to face financial ruination and starvation. And nothing about those activities is “anti-communistic.”

            47. Now that is one brilliant come-back.

I was going to type something along those lines, but I think you said it better than I could.

        48. He is also someone behind the agenda of

“Democracy Now! Specifically, there were two very important subjects that Amy Goodman was told in no uncertain terms that she must never ever touch.

One of these two topics was the vast number of inefficiencies regarding our election day procedures. Everything from the fact that many other nations have elections over the weekends, usually on a  Saturday, so that most voters don’t have  conflicts with work. Even more importantly were matters many voting activists were realizing that had to do with the large scale  abilities of our current day electronic voting systems and how they can be hacked.

In late January of 2017. Citizens Oversight Project heard the resolution to their lawsuit regarding Calif Registrar of Voter, Vu, and how in San Diego County, Vu oversaw an election in which the results of the June Primary were flipped. The announced results were Hillary’s win of 58% to Bernie Sanders loss of 42%. The actual results as the court of law determined them to be were the opposite. Sanders had won, by 58% with Hillary losing due to her only receiving some 42% of the vote. This proves what Soros wanted all along – the ability to make sure that NO PROGRESSIVE ever gets the right to sit in the Oval Office. His strategy to accomplish this was ensuring that  Ms Goodman black listed certain topics. I know from my clo9se freiendship wioth Andy stephenson that he had made numerous attempts to have the Stolen Election of 2004 as a discussion topic. And prior to that electio0n being stolen, Stephenson  had attempted to have the “Black Box Voting Systems” discussed. So Ms Goodman did as Soros asked, and she did not help out voting activists back in 2004 and therefore much of the information about election processes and election systems that the American public should have had back in the time period of 2004 to 2014 was lost to them.

The second topic, and again a crucially important topic, was the Soros-suppression of information about what really occurred on the say of Sept 11th 2011. But Soros likes to have weaponry purchased. He likes to have wars fought. He ensured tht NO DISCUSSION of the vitally important situation with regards to the demolition-controlled towers ever came about. (But the official “Truther” report that was a well documented and scientific study of the collapse of the Two Towers was never mentioned on Democracy Now! That report was prepared by legitimate architects, engineers and scientists. And a second report recently came out from physicists. According to the more recent report, there are only two ways that the buildings could have collapsed the freefall way that they did – the laws of physics were suspended for the Twin Towers on that date, or demolition measures were taken to bring the buildings down.

      4. The rich are packing up and planning on moving to another country.

I won’t cry a single tear for the C-levels as they flee in their private jets. Scared now, because the common rabble know the system is rigged in favor of all rich folks. Not just the people they dislike. All of them.

        27. The rich already live elsewhere.

For a while I “lucked into” cheap living quarters in Sausalito Calif.

I paid $ 500 a month while those around me who rented paid $ 3,800.

In 2000, I ran for office. One Saturday  I had to knock on 67 doors before I found the home owner at home. (Usually it was the maid or the house sitter that was there when I knocked.)

According to the help, the people were in Cannes France. Or Istanbul… or some beach in Thailand. And often they planned on being away for at least six weeks. What was happening “back in the states” probably didn’t matter to these people at all.

      5. Let me see if I've got this right.

Some organization offers people money to protest. Some of the money they have to give away is from a foundation that gets some funding from Soros. So Soros is funding the protestors. Does not compute.

Someone like Soros funds all kinds of stuff. I would assume that he doesn’t directly fund much of anything, leaving that up to his minions. His minions make the decision based on progressive activism. So attempting to put this on Soros is very disingenuous, at best. I’ve seen all kinds of evil Soros garbage from just about every fly by night ‘news’ outlet ther is lately, and I have to ask myself one question:

      Who benefits from the stories?

It certainly isn’t the truth, it seems to be missing in action.

        7. You don't have it completely right — it's even more ridiculous than you suggest

If you read the linked article — which requires wading through a lot of innuendo and heavy breathing and, frankly, McCarthism — you find two specifics about Soros’s money in this context: He funded an organization that advocates for immigrants, and he provided funding to hire organizers for various anti-Trump causes.

“Paying Protesters”?  Sorry, absolutely nothing about that.  The article is trash but the headline is even worse.

I marched on Saturday.  En route to the march I stopped off to buy a Magic Marker for sign-making.  Not only did Soros not pay me a dime, but I had to front the $2.67 out of my own pocket.  You think if I send him my receipt I can get reimbursed?

          9. It is not payment to protestors

but instead to certain key leaders to organize the protests.  Some are in each state and it is hard to digest.  I would have thought that something such as this particular women’s march would have been much more effective before the election, wouldn’t you?

            12. Which is why the headline "Paying Protesters" is a lie.

As for the march, I don’t know whether it would have done much good before the election.  One benefit of such marches is to get people to pay attention in between elections.  Before the election, time spent on organizing a protest has to be weighed against time spent registering voters, phone banking, and going door-to-door.

          Or maybe even really far-fetched??

This is beginning to look like a whisper campaign against someone.

What is the real issue here? Soros distributes money? Good.

He’s not alone out there. Tons of people donate money to organizations all over the world.

              14. No I don't have a problem with it.

              Why do you?

If you want to protest, then you protest. Should he have to put up with that? Of course he should.

But if he wants to protest, he has the right to pay for it. It’s called economics.

What I find amusing is the ability of some to put this in some ‘conspiratorial’ context. There isn’t anything that I’ve seen yet that proves he does this for economic gain. In fact, taken from his perspective, it seems he’s trying to do what he feels is the best thing to do for everybody.

                15. Do you know what astroturf is?

                Here, I’ll  help you:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astroturfing

In political science, it is defined as the process of seeking electoral victory or legislative relief for grievances by helping political actors find and mobilize a sympathetic public, and is designed to create the image of public consensus where there is none.[1][2] Astroturfing is the use of fake grassroots efforts that primarily focus on influencing public opinion and typically are funded by corporations and governmental entities to form opinions.[3] On the Internet, astroturfers use software to mask their identity. Sometimes one individual operates through many personas to give the impression of widespread support for their client’s agenda.[4][5] Some studies suggest astroturfing can alter public viewpoints and create enough doubt to inhibit action.

It’s dishonest and manipulative as hell.

But you have no problem with it. That’s interesting.

                  Astroturf all you want.

Some studies suggest ” Some ‘studies suggest’ you get brain cancer from cell phones.

                    18. Yet you object when the existence of astroturfing is pointed out.

Some of us hold that democracy is the best and fairest  way of electing our leaders and representatives.  Soros/Clinton et. al. seem to prefer oligarchy or plutocracy, which holds that the people are not fit for self-rule and should therefore be ruled by the privileged few.

I’m not sure where you stand on that, but I’m for democracy.

Democracy requires an educated, informed populace.  Those with great wealth, like Soros and the Koch brothers, are pouring money into enterprises dedicated to misleading the people into supporting candidates that uphold the power of oligarchs to rule over the people.  Like, for instance, Clinton.

You defend astroturfing as if we were suggesting that it be outlawed, which we’re not.  What we’re trying to do is point out where it is being done so that at least some of the people can know when they’re being deliberately snookered.  Yet you even object to that.

Sorry, but we’re going to keep pointing it out, despite your objections.

                      19. Therein lies the flaw.

“Democracy requires an educated, informed populace.”

                      Who’s education and who’s information?

Don’t put words in my mouth. I don’t give a crap about ‘astroturfing’.

This anti-Soros slant running around is ‘astroturfing’ of another sort, isn’t it?

When there is some sort of substantiated proof that Soros actually harmed someone for personal gain, throw his ass in prison. I don’t care.

But don’t put me on the jury and give me a case like this.

                        23. Surely you know this has been discussed for millennia.

Aristotle wrote in defense of free speech and therefore the free, unimpeded flow of information, as did John Milton more recently (17th century) in his famous Areopagitica — and then we have numerous enlightenment and post enlightenment proponents such as Kant, John Stuart Mill, Jürgen Habermas, etc.

You write, “Who’s [sic] education and who’s [sic] information?”

Well since this is a democratic republic, education would of course be free (publicly financed) primary and secondary education, with a good dose of liberal arts, critical thinking skills and civics, followed by affordable higher education. We had that when I was growing up.  Information would be the free flow of information (representing all views) made widely available to the vast majority of the American people.

You write, “This anti-Soros slant running around is ‘astroturfing’ of another sort, isn’t it?”

No, this “anti-Soros slant” is discussion.  Astroturfing, to quote the Wikipedia piece, is “creating the image of public consensus where there is none.”  IOW, fake grassroots.  Fooling people.  Misleading people.  That’s what your hero, Soros does.

What we are doing here, in discussing it, is not fake; it’s real.

And we’re not talking here about throwing anybody’s “ass in prison.”  We’re simply analyzing and discussing the tactics of a rich, powerful person who is attempting to create an image of public consensus where there is none.

Interesting that the protests included signs that said things like “Putin elected Trump,” and other russkies did it type of innuendo.  They seemed to have the general underlying theme of rehabilitating HRC, who didn’t bother to march.  I support women protesting the Dump but I don’t support putting Killary back in the saddle.  I hope all those women can see she is not a progressive ally, only a greedy opportunist.  I do hope the protest movements we see emerging can keep their eye on the ball of derailing Dump and his agenda, and not support the rehabilitation of her.

            20. This is not far fetched at all. Have you not been witness to some of these

monstrous things this last decade or two?

Was it far fetched for the media to lie us into a war in Iraq and support the murderers? They slobbered over the idea. No way, that’s too far fetched. Who would Do that?

It’s too far fetched that Chelsea Manning released documents and videos that showed how horrible some of the military are. They shoot up vans full of ordinary people, they shoot down journalists, and they laugh about it like it was a new release playstation game. No way, that’s too far fetched!

              22. What does any of this have to do with your OP?

Are you saying Soros pays people to have wars for him?

                24. I'm saying the unbelievable becomes believable, even only to some.

Nothing is far fetched in this rotting world. Soros is a friend of Hillary’s, he troughed her huge amounts of cash.  Any friend of Hillary’s, is an enemy of the people. Ask yourself if Hillary would pay people to demonstrate violently against Trump. Recall what stinking slippery manipulator Brock was. How he paid online people to be obnoxious liars and was a low down dirtbag of a human being.

                I know my answer.

                  29. And the people of the Ukraine

Who ended up fleeing their native country would agree.

There were at least 175,000 such refugees. And while one of Biden’s sons sat on the Board of Directors for the American oil firm that wanted the “US to get this war on,” Soros helped foment the propaganda that ended up dividing the nation.

                  Interesting article here:

The article below has as citations various legal stipulations enacted by Congress, and how it is that those stipulations were ignored. Quotes are from The Nation as well —

              25. Precisely!

Soros is a globalist neoliberal. He is merely using the Democrats to further his own agenda.

            28. Maybe you should ask one or two of the 175,000

People who left the war torn Ukraine after one of Soros’ Truth Campaigns got going. Soros divides nations in two. That way he gets richer and the rest of us get unrest.

I suspect General Electric is into the unrest as well. Consider what happened last Saturday night, Jan 21, 2017. MSNBC, one of two national networks that GE owns, acted quite differently than it did in any time in recent memory.

For the first time in at least 26 years, MSNBC canned their Saturday night TV show LOCKUP and put in its place the news about video loops of demonstrators “live from Washington DC.”

Why do I find this so curious? The MSNBC network never once stopped its regular LOCKUP programming back in the buildup to Iraq War II when 5 million people nation-wide protested in every major city across the country. Even though protests went on for several months.

The MSNBC network didn’t have any Saturday night news programs over the weekends in Sept 2005 when Katrina was devastating the Gulf.  The network continued to show LOCKUP.

But for some reason, they stopped showing LOCKUP last Saturday night due to the “historic significance” of last weekend’s protests. Why?

              32. Such a good point. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

The oligarchy — or at least the totalitarian globalist side of it — wants desperately to get Trump out of the way.

So those who spend every online minute posting comments that generate Trump hatred are, whether they know it or not, marching in lockstep with that side of the oligarchy.

If ever the people of this country had an enemy, that is it.

I don’t know how to wake them up.

I'm not ignoring you; they won't let me reply to or post messages.  You can PM me though if you feel like it.  No one has told me how long this will last.  It's a little weird, I must say ...  http://www.informationclearinghouse.info  Caitlin Johnstone   https://consortiumnews.com/   Jimmy Dore  http://anonhq.com/   http://markcrispinmiller.com/   http://www.thecanary.co/

                35. Persevere in your thoughts and

Don’t give up. Pay attention to those who tell the truth: sane progressive’s videos on the internet, Jimmy Dore, and “RW’er” Paul Craig Roberts are all worth it. Hannity on Fox often opposes the lies. I found it of interest that as the Fox Talking heads drifted over to HRC right before the election, (since RW’er Hillary was about to be elected) Hannity remained firmly behind Trump.

The Koch brothers fund almost all the tea bagger crap. So, this piddly ass shit by Soros barely amounts to a drop in the bucket.

So, that you think you are really doing something when it is all a facade to distract the citizenry from their manipulation.

        36. So your theory then

Is that two wrongs make up a right? Especially if one of the two wrongs doesn’t seem to affect things on as large a level…

Number One: That is an immoral way of perceiving the universe.

Number Two: It is not only Soros. It is also major MIC/Surveillance entities like General Electric. Worst of all, it is the Hillary-supporting branch of the CIA! Which has vast amounts of tax payer monies to spend. (How much we will never know, due to the fact those monies will only be found in black ops portions of Federal government.)

      33. Ahhh another secret Trump voter….

So Soros stands to gain millions from Trump tax cuts, but that just isn’t enough for him?  Be specific, what does Soros not like about Trump.  The local paid head of MoveOn.org  was head of the local Bernie Sanders campaign before that.

        34. spoken by a not so secret Hillary voter…?

        ha!

What Soros does not like about Trump? My guess would be because Trump is an outsider and not a politician. A renegade that will go off message and might mess things up for the evil Globalists. He has no years under his belt sucking on the teat of the public like the Clintons do. Maybe he can’t be blackmailed like the Clintons can be. He might not be able to be controlled like those Slithereens Hill and Bill and Co.

Hillary will always be a dirty, lying bitch and Bill, a sexual superpredator. Just thought I’d throw that in for good measure.

So no I am not a secret Hillary voter.  So Trump can’t be blackmailed…like with pictures or videos of Him getting a Golden shower?  God you are so full of it.  So who did you vote for?

        37. See my reply to comment number 17

It is not just Soros. It is the CIA, and all facets of the MIC/Surveillance state that are now engaged in “mobilizing the anti war movement to oppose Trump’s anti war movement.” (Quote courtesy of Paul Craig Roberts.)

Such facets of the MIC/Surveillance state include General Electric, which owns both NBC and MSNBC.
