I have tried everything and its always ends in utter frustration.
Maybe I come back and try in a few months.
A real shame, as this was one of the few worthwhile chatboards.
I hope there is a plan B for progressives in the US, as Bernie will never be allowed to win the Dummicrat nomination.
IF Trump actually pulls all the troops out of Syria and Afghanistan, then overall he is a win so far.
Each day I count my lucky stars I am a European. The US is going to rip itself apart by 2040 (or sooner). Too much fundamental difference between Blue and Red states. Too much hate, too much violence.
The MSM brainwash is so pervasive.
I hope most of you find a way out.
Cheers to all and I hope you have the best of new years and best of lives.

Maybe if “remove formatting” was the default, along with a little bit of this and that, we could get 99% reliability that our post will go through.
Easier said than done, of course, but with software we often see the hacks and work-arounds getting incorporated into future builds.

No, there is nothing he could do in Syria or Afghanistan that would mean that “overall he is a win so far.”

We need your knowledge and insight on this site in so many ways.
I taught students, as a professional educator, for over 40 years. IMO this site is set up to give comfort to left brain hemisphere dominate chaos learners and thinkers. And that makes it feel uncomfortable to right hemisphere dominate systematic, logical (Math logic) and empathetic learners and thinkers.
After being able to post, I find the site to be uncomfortable instead of frustrating. Also I put in a mindset of clicking on the, see more emojis, then clicking the less button, to make the reply post!!! It is like a pacifiers!!!! It is a systematic hack or a co-dominate thinker insert that gives you pretend control over the site. That is what an educator calls a rationale. Now the site will cooperate with you.

There are others, lots of others actually, who make JPR what it is, you IMHO have an important perspective.
I’d like to point out that while there are bugs, JPR’s PTB are working on them.
For me, until those bugs are fixed they will be less annoying than Captcha-bot was….which makes this a better place than it was imho. I am also loving the new influx of members.
Don’t lose our address, ghost through often and should someone say something dumb, (me), please feel free to jump in and straighten sh*t out..
Until your return i will miss your perspective…. so hurry back please.

You’re “so glad you’re European”, but you spend your time America-watching and hanging out for years on an American political site – and apparently checking out many others – as if America were a country of great importance to you. In gods name, why are you so emotionally invested?
I am American. I’m a bit interested in the world so I read some foreign news sites (for Sweden, I read The Local until the paywall stops me each month). But I wouldn’t dream of going onto a Swedish or Mexican or Syrian or Laotian or Iranian political chat-site to expound loudly to those citizens about what I think is wrong with their countries – while meanwhile repeatedly declaring that “I’m so glad I live in my country, not in yours!” I would consider that the behavior of an obnoxious blowhard. Every American in my social circle would agree. Sweden must have a different etiquette.
My advice: try to quit caring about America’s politics. My country really ISNT that exceptional or important or worthy of your fascination. You don’t have to pay it any attention. Just be Swedish and try to interest yourself in Swedish politics instead. Or, I don’t know, Turkish politics or something. Turkey is a lot closer, and I’m sure they have excellent political websites with fiery arguments about war, refugees, press censorship, torture, the HDP, the PKK, Erdogan, Islam, etc. That sounds a lot more passionate than America’s relatively tame stuff. But please, do try to avoid telling Turks “I’m so glad I’m European, so glad I’m Swedish” every five minutes, as you have done at JPR. Turks are likely to find that just as boorish and arrogant as Americans do.
By the way, did you know that your country has been without a government for three months, owing to the chasm between Sweden’s rising reds and flailing blues? Ironic, eh? Since you’ve been so focused on far-off America, I’m afraid you may not have been aware of this. Fortunately, you can now start pitching in and fixing Sweden’s political problems. You’ll have plenty of time, since you’ll no longer be cranking yourself up over distant goings-on in the USA.

Honestly, it was driving me crazy the past week or so but I actually have had success just yesterday and today – esp today for some reason – getting my posts through. Cutting and pasting text, inserting headlines. Tonight I was finally able to upload a personal photo/avatar. It was slick. It’s starting to click.
