There’s a feel of something changing in our Democratic primary. The given DNC 2020 darling, Biden, appears to be weakening as the BIG TEST nears in SC … Feb 29. Biden’s firewall is under assault. Of course, many of us here hope that Bernie is the one who tears that firewall down, but also known by many here the African American vote will make a huuuge difference with the outcome. Tom Steyer has gotten their attention. Some African American voters in SC state that Steyer understands Trump and knows how to debate/fight him. That he knows what African American needs. Even I find that somewhat hard to believe that a billionaire would know that, but who knows, maybe he does and means it.
Steyer may not win the SC primary but if he finishes in the top 4, I say look out! This may become our nation’s African American voter’s movement behind Steyer.

‘Michael Bailey, publisher of The Minority Eye, one of the largest black-owned publications in South Carolina’ states this:
“Steyer is having a different conversation with black and minority media”

What has Steyer done for people of color? Nothing. And it is even worse seeing Bloomberg pick up support from the AA community. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I mean going from 0% to 1% is a surge of ∞% so… yeah, okay?
That said, imagine being the Democratic Party and hinging your strategy around people whose sole criteria is by now pretty clearly “anyone who’s not a Jew”

Or are you talking specifically about South Carolina, where he’s not on the ballot?

Looks as if ‘banker’ Mrs Steyer has given herself a promotion. Campaign contributions pay very well.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Illustrating the focus Tom Steyer’s presidential campaign is putting on South Carolina, the Democrat’s wife has stepped down from her banking job and relocated to the state for the rest of her husband’s 2020 bid.
Kat Taylor is renting a home in the state’s capital city and moved in over the weekend, the California billionaire’s campaign told The Associated Press on Tuesday. She looks to become more involved in campaigning efforts there and have a base of operations on the East Coast.
