This is hard to decipher, but it looks like you can just walk in and get it. The problem is, how would I get enough of it to dose myself at the higher levels proposed by the “alternative” regimes? This is hillbilly folk medicine. Why is ivermectin so popular in Southern states where the legislators think they are doctors?

The law allows the pharmacist to determine the amount and the dosage, and it relieves the pharmacist from liability. So some crackpot can overdose people without consequences. https://www.thedesertreview.com/news/ivermectin-available-over-the-counter-in-tennessee/article_75949fee-c671-11ec-adc6-3348de82376c.html

They are very hard on the body, specifically the liver. Drinking alcohol and taking these at the same time is not recommended from my experience.

I don’t know what dose people will be getting. Some of the alternative dosage regimes are six times higher than the standard amount you get for parasites. The way I read this let’s play doctor legislation, the consumer gets to decide for herself how much she would like to take.

been given guidelines. The fact that everyone cannot afford to pay a doctor for a prescription may be at play here. Putting that in animal meds terms, the only thing that keeps my immune-compromised (due to heartworm treatment) dog from losing all her fur to brown mites and being covered with sores is Bravecto. I cannot get Bravecto in the US without paying a vet for a prescription. And then the dose for my dog runs about $65 here. I can get Bravecto through an out of country pet pharmacy with no prescription needed for about $37, including shipping. As far as I can tell, the US is the only country that requires a prescription.
I do find it odd that some who casually dismiss ongoing killings, for years, in other countries are so worried about other people possibly getting wrong dosages here in the US. The big picture is appalling. Or, perhaps, the issue is not being a sheeple, who knows.

It is one of the safest drugs ever made. I have used it for years on my dogs. You probably do to. Anybody else use Heartguard on a monthly basis? When you are tired of paying 80$ per dog per year you can go to a farm store and buy the same product for about 7$ and treat 3 dogs for one year.
A friend bought an adult dog that had heart worm. The dosage? The amount you give a normal dog as a preventative once a month, you give it that much every day for 30 days! So the dose that is “safe” for your dog, and beneficial, can be ramped up 30 TIMES! After the dog went thru a 30 day treatment at the very high dose, she went thru several more months at a high dose.
I myself have been taking Iv since last fall. Zero noticeable side effects. Oh, except I have not had a bout of gout since I started! Did you know Iv is useful in the treatment of arthritis? Do you know how painful gout is? This is the first time in 10 years I have not had any pain from gout.
There are many many countries around the world where Iv is available over the counter. Just go in and buy it like you would aspirin. Except Iv is not as dangerous as aspirin. Or hand sanitizer. Do you know that stuff is available without a prescription? And hand sanitizer is way more dangerous than Iv.

we are now up to 72 studies that show Iv to have a positive effect in the prevention and treatment of C19.
