In the days after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, the phone lines and websites of local election officials across the country were jumping: Tens of thousands of Republicans were calling or logging on to switch their party affiliations.

In California, more than 33,000 registered Republicans left the party during the three weeks after the Washington riot. In Pennsylvania, more than 12,000 voters left the G.O.P. in the past month, and more than 10,000 Republicans changed their registration in Arizona.

An analysis of January voting records by The New York Times found that nearly 140,000 Republicans had quit the party in 25 states that had readily available data (19 states do not have registration by party). Voting experts said the data indicated a stronger-than-usual flight from a political party after a presidential election, as well as the potential start of a damaging period for G.O.P. registrations as voters recoil from the Capitol violence and its fallout.

Among those who recently left the party are Juan Nunez, 56, an Army veteran in Mechanicsburg, Pa. He said he had long felt that the difference between the United States and many other countries was that campaign-season fighting ended on Election Day, when all sides would peacefully accept the result. The Jan. 6 riot changed that, he said.

      Hi rcw,

That article sure felt like click bait.

(and I don’t believe for one minute they DID – because THEY VOTED FOR TRUMP and loved his Hitler-ish persona), but (if true) they will still vote for the traitorous Repubs. What? You think they’re going to vote for any Dem, who are just as bad? Why would they?

Though they could be prepping for Trump’s “PATRIOT PARTY” I suppose. No doubt our corrupt corporate owned MSM propaganda networks will shove that down our throats, non-stop until 2024 if Trump does start his new party. They’ll gladly do that, but completely ignore The People’s Party.

Right now there are no good choices, just lesser evils against lesser evils – actually, just evils.  And who gives a shit about registrations, they are meaningless except for fund-raising purposes and also those who just vote the way they always have, not really knowing or caring about records and deeds and such.

Everything I post is just my opinion, and, honestly, I would love to be wrong.

Of course we do here – and that got very little media coverage.

Neither party listens to their voters – just their corporate owners.

And to suggest they would then join the dems makes about as much sense as saying our 2016 demexit was to join the repubs.

These people are now basically where most of us were 4 years ago.

So now our choice is, try to work with them and become the majority in the US, or fully buy the msm “deplorables” narrative and continue letting the (ever decreasing in size) D+R monopoly running everything forever.
