    1. Speaking as someone who is not part of their base any more –

they can fuck off.  And so can anyone who tells me to keep voting for DINOs and hoping things will change.  The people who really run the Democratic Party, and the DNC – are not even people who get elected.  For fuck’s sake – BROCK is now the ugly face of the Democratic Party.

You think the only reason that people won't vote for a warmongering Third Way fracking-enabling cluster bomb throwing H-1B increasing lying pandering corporate and Wall Street shill who says she has no problem putting abortion rights on the table is because we are mad about Bernie?  Um, nope.

      2. Wonder if Bernie would consider running in the New Democratic Party in 2020?

With the Party moving more Right of Center with each and every day, it seems very different from the Party that Bernie ran in, beginning in 2015.  The New Democratic Party seems to be after the Republican base.  And in no way would it allow any type of social democracy to mess up its shadowy Triangulation with Corporatism and Fascism. The triangulators came out of the shadows by voting with Republicans on Trump nominees beginning in January 2017.  A new Democratic Party has emerged – the New Democratic Party of Third Way.

        4. Exactly what has happened. Well put! And the internet seems to be crawling with

Brocksterbators who are trying to get us to stick with what used to be the Democratic Party.  That New Democrat Coalition is what the party is now, and I will not be part of it.

        11. he's 75 now. what do you think? reagan was i think the oldest prez and

he was 78 with Alzheimer’s when he hobbled off the presidential podium.

Bernie’s in better shape than Reagan, nevertheless, time and tide you know.  would you want to spend your last years carrying the fate of the free world on your shoulders and dealing with dirty tricks and petty criticisms?

          12. Here is what I think. The first 10 generations beginning with Adam lived to be

several hundred years old.  Today, with clean air water and food, no toxins, humans can live to be 120 years old.  With genetic therapy, those born as early as the year 2000, may live to be 1000 years old.  Part of my belief is that those living to be 1000 years old have a lot of money and Presidential Healthcare Insurance.  Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn, may live to be over 120.

            13. too bad life expectancy in the us has flatlined

is someone living to be over 1000 these days?  hadn’t heard that, are they part of the methuselah clan?

I’m old and not so sanguine about aging.  just finished doing some research on some local pioneers back in the 1800s.  two of them lived into their 90s and died in the early 1900s.  they arrived in the pacific nw when it was basically a wilderness and they weren’t young men/  most lived at least into their late 60s/early 70s, and a number into their 80s.

the ones who died young = ‘misadventure’ and accidents, and in a couple of cases illness (heart attack and appendicitis).  this is out of about 50 men — a small sample, but large enough sample of the population at the time.

what was it, the clean living, the lack of toxins, or the great insurance?

none of the above.  i’ll tell you, this stuff about increased life expectancy doesn’t have much to do with any of that — that’s just a modern kind of health distraction propaganda.  imho.

most of the increase in life expectancy from birth is because a lot of kids died young.  the increase in adult lifespan is pretty small — and the biggest factor is class position, like you said.  always was though.  cause the rulers have such ‘good genes’  lol

                15. life expectancy is flatlining in the us.

March 7, 2013A 15-year analysis of death trends in the U.S. surprised health researchers by revealing a widespread increase in premature deaths among women, especially in the Western and Southern regions of the nation.

“We … were actually shocked to see that female [death] rates were worsening in more than 42 percent of counties,” says researcher David Kindig, MD, PhD, professor emeritus of population health sciences at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, in a prepared statement.

The researchers determined that of 3,140 counties studied, 1,334 (42.8%) experienced a rise in premature death among women between 1992 and 2006. In men, the rate increased in 108 counties (3.4%). The researchers defined death as premature if it happened before age 75.

On average, premature death decreased by 1.5% for women and 9.8% for men. However, the changes varied widely from county to county, the researchers write. For instance, depending on the county, women’s death decreased as much as 40.7% or increased as much as 37%.

Better death rates were most strongly associated with higher income, a higher proportion of Latino residents, and college education. Higher death among women was most strongly associated with living in the rural South or the West, more smoking, and lower education rates.

                2016

ALISON KODJAK, BYLINE: The report is just a few pages long with some bar graphs and numbers, but behind that data is a complex picture of economic inequality and even despair. The first piece – the life expectancy of white women fell by about one month. It’s the first decline in life expectancy for white women since the agency started keeping records almost a hundred years ago. Elizabeth Arias wrote the report and was troubled, so she looked deeper.

ELIZABETH ARIAS: The increases in causes of death that affected this change negatively were unintentional injuries, suicide and chronic liver disease.

KODJAK: Those unintentional injuries are basically drug overdoses. And chronic liver disease comes with alcoholism. The numbers echoed the findings of a major study out of Princeton last fall that showed more and more white people are dying in middle age of the same causes. Anne Case, an economist and lead author of that earlier study, calls them deaths of despair.

‘gene therapy’ is pretty irrelevant to this picture.  kind of like the flying cars we were promised when I was a kid.  who do you think is going to get ‘gene therapy’ in this political/economic environment?

                  16. It sure is except for folks with lots of money, golden Insurance Plans and

Presidential Health Insurance, just as I wrote above in reply #12 and #14.  The wealthy are planning on, and taking bets/risks, that most of the Baby Boomers will disappear quickly, through death.

Just like you say above, early death is happening now.  Just like I say, the wealthy and fortunate are living longer and better.

                    17. sorry; i didn't understand your meaning because of the 'living to 1000'

                    and interjection of the carters.

    5. The Texas New Democratic Party Yellow Dog Chairman just told the nation

what he thinks of the progressive issues and enthusiasm of Bernie Sanders.  Here is cheater, corporate tool, DNC spokeswoman, Donna Brazile, introducing the same old DNC at a private university in Texas, this morning.  Was the audience small?  The Feb. 4th program begins at 40 seconds, if you are interested.  It takes a moment for the sound to get started.

      6. The Texas Democratic Party is as useless as…

teats on a boar hog. With the exception of rigging elections. They are quite proficient at that.

        7. And this is the state that the Turd Way swears will be blue any day now

just because its collective skin color is getting “too dark to vote Republican”.  Teh stupid is amazing.

          8. Weird huh…

Since it was the Clinton’s Third Way that schemed to turn this place red to begin with and gave us W to boot.

          Yes, amazingly stupid.

    9. Why is every "new variety" of a Dem called a "dog" ??

Is  that because so many Americans used to accept the “trickle down” theory of the economy.

And a dog is a great leg lifting symbol of that?

      10. It means that the voter agrees to vote a straight ticket no matter if the party

stands for Conservative candidates and corporate donors.  Yellow dog now is a verbal agreement.  In the past, its started as a yellow contract in the 1870’s.  The government outlawed such a contract.
