The "Russians Did it" Lying through their teeth is exposed

Russia is formally cleared of any interference in the German Elections by the Germans, and the silence is deafening:

    https://consortiumnews.com/2017/02/15/german-intel-clears-russia-on-interference/

American media outlets who had printed up accusations of Russia acting as an interference in German elections did post retractions, but no full stories. Newsweek’s three sentences seems to be the most that was done on the issue.

        7. However the conjecture has morphed into a rigid

Belief system for some Hill bots, who moan and cry through their tears that we Bernie supporters who aligned with Russia destroyed the Great Earth Mother’s bid to help all humanity. I know about it because once a month, i sit thorough the monthly women’s meeting, where there are now deep divisions between the women who supported Hillary and the rest of us us.

With it. But it is all the mis-information they possess. All the “BUT ‘Mother Jones”‘said, ‘Rolling Stone’ said” propaganda they spew.

I totally was celebrating it when Jimmy Dore let the cat  out of the bag in his Feb 5th podcast to the effect that Mother Jones was invented only to prevent the progressive movement from actually becoming progressive!

is watching it completely destroy the cause.  Dividing the party into the hardcore neolibs and the #demexit who wish to flee.  Many of my friends will never understand, so it is futile to try to reason.

      3. It gives one pause when we have to rely on another country for the truth.

It’s also good to remember all the help Clinton gave the clown Yeltsin in the latter’s quest to become president of Russia.

        4. The Bush crime family and the Clinton crime family

Both  helped in getting Yeltsin the high place in Russia he desired. Too bad he then used that position to grind so many Russians into dust.

      5. You might want to delete this thread OP.

“German intelligence agencies could find no good evidence of Moscow-directed cyber-attacks or a disinformation campaign aimed at subverting the democratic process in Germany.”

The article has NOTHING to do with disproving Russian involvement with US Elections – only German elections – and so this entire thread is misleading.

Think of all the “moderates” who, throughout history, have failed to oppose state-sanctioned aggression, oppression, and abuse, from slavery to child labor, while maligning those who call for change as dangerous and misguided, violent radicals. And yet, in retrospect, when a renewed social contract is established as the new normal, the unlawful actions that brought about these societal shifts are turned into mythical tales of nationalistic heroism and dates for kids to memorize at school.

          23. Eleven seconds before the conclusion

Of the trailer; “This is what happens when civilians want war. Once you have gone to war, you never wanna go there again.”

Trump has replaced the civilian generals with those who have served in action. With people who are not so much into flying around as Petraeus was, trying to get armaments deals brokered so he could get some cream off the top. But generals who actually don’t want us in a war we cannot win.

      24. Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veteran_Intelligence_Professionals_for_Sanity

Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) is a group of former officers of the United States Intelligence Community. It was formed in January 2003 as a “coast-to-coast enterprise” to protest the use of faulty intelligence “upon which the US/UK invasion of Iraq was based.” The group issued a letter before the 2003 invasion of Iraq stating that intelligence analysts were not being listened to by policy makers. Initially the group numbered 25, mostly retired analysts.

      February 2003 memo
On February 7, 2003, VIPS publicly released a “Memorandum for The President” criticizing Secretary Powell’s speech before the United Nations, in part, because VIPS was afraid Saddam Hussein would use his chemical weapons against U.S. troops if the U.S. invaded. It stated “The narrow focus on Resolution 1441 has diverted attention from the wider picture. It is crucial that we not lose sight of that. Intelligence community analysts are finding it hard to make themselves heard above the drumbeat for war.” It also noted the various Gulf War-related illnesses which many returning soldiers contracted due to the presence of chemical and biological agents in Desert Storm. The memorandum was signed by the VIPS Steering Group including Richard Beske, Kathleen Christison, William Christison, Patrick Eddington, and Ray McGovern.[citation needed]

The New York Times columnist Nicholas D. Kristof at the time described that widespread outrage among intelligence professionals had led to the establishment of VIPS.[2]After the CIA chief weapons inspector David Kay in 2004 announced no stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction could be found in Iraq, Michael W. Robbins opined in the magazine Mother Jones: The group, “Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity,” has produced some of the most credible, and critical, analyses of the Bush Administration’s handling of intelligence data in the run-up to the March, 2003 invasion of Iraq.[3]

        30. Third Way New Democrats are doing the calling for Chaffetz to investigate Russia

They are using, the Russian’s did it and the Republican refusal to investigate, as an excuse for their losing policies, beliefs and behaviors so they can remain in the Center and continue to ignore the needs of the working classes and poor.

The Bernie #DemsEntry crowd has its leaders, who are already being instructed to keep us “Outliers” on a short leash. I am fairly sure that since Bernie supported the McCarthy-ism Round Two rally cry of “The Russians did it” that any one of us  attending local meetings has to either keep silent on the issue or leave.

            36. Bernie needs to explain how the Russians did it. Bernie is not being

pre-primaried as an Independent even though he is pre-primarying members of the New Democratic and Republican Parties (Trump is already running for 2020).  You have hit the nail on the head and that is why I singed a petition so as to ask him to set up his own political Party so he can be Primaried starting now by We the People.  We need to make sure and support the issues of the working class and the poor as we are all becoming poorer.  Think of how much poorer we will become if Corporate New Democrats vote to charge us 20% of our Social Security benefits through the privatizer hedge funder Pete Peterson, to manage the SS Insurance Trust Fund that is now being administered for free by the Social Security Administration.  I want New Democrats, Bernie and Republicans to answer on the SS issues as well as other working class issues. Republicans are going to start shutting down government offices and administration.  It is the dream of religious Donimionist like VP Mike Pense and TX R-Senator Ted Cruz, to turn over the collection of taxes to the Church-just like what was done in the Old Testament of the Seven Hills Holy Bible, and in so doing, shut down the Internal Revenue Service.  Very soon, lawmakers will sell off the lands of the National Parks as America continues to dissolve.

              37. Bernie is fully committed to the Democratic Party

He is hardly the indie we all wanted him top be. he rarely offered any time in his calendar to people who were not Dems, even before he made the switch over to being a Democrat. For instance, Jessie Ventura was treated shabbily by him. Sane Progressive tried to present him with a petition and he refused her the time of day. Neither of those two actions sound very “indie” to me.

          39. I'm glad you find it worth reading

Going along with what they’re saying is that whole process of dealing with the allegations against Russia is messed up. Who can say exactly what was done by who, and for what reasons, but one thing is for sure is that, as a whole, the press didn’t take to heart the lessons of the last few decades. And now, worse than ever, the fact they’re owned by big corporations with a political and economic agenda is affecting how the news is presented to the people.

During the Vietnam war we had investigative journalism, and reporters on the ground, and Congress people taking trips there. In place of that now we get poorly sourced pablum.

            42. Yes, and in addition to the things you note,

During Vietnam, we had Ellsberg release the Pentagon Papers. This attempt at exposing the truth about the Vietnam War had two components, both of which were essential to the matter.

One was that Daniel Ellsberg was willing to spend the rest of  his life in solitary confinement for bring the nation the truth. But most importantly, secondly the newspaper editors across the country decided to risk their own necks in publishing the Pentagon Papers.

the New York Times released a certain a mount of the information. But then another 8 or 10 newspapers agreed to carry the ball and publish, section by section the rest of that info.

Would never happen in today’s world. The CIA tightly controls the editors of those newspapers.

      31. In truth, Seth Rich "did it" i.e. LEAKED DNC's damning emails …

.. and was murdered for it.  Thus setting-off a shit-storm of obfuscation, distraction, and frenzied hysteria all aimed at accomplishing two important neocon goals:

      a) To utterly erasing any public memory (much less any questions) about who Seth Rich was, his role at the DNC, and his conscientious decision to expose how the DNC squarely planted it’s fat ass “on the scales” for Hillary at every possible opportunity to discredit & marginalize Bernie Sanders’ brilliant campaign — in direct violation of the DNC’s own charter (i.e. its legal foundation and authorization for existing).  and

      b) To begin their “Russia did it!!” 24/7 M$M scare crusade to prep the public for a new Cold War (or hot?) with Russia. Oh yippie!! Let’s dust-off those bomb shelters before ‘the big one’ hits’

      43. I wasn't concerned whether they did it as much as what was being made of it

It was clear before that that DC was ramping up conflict with Russia since at least the coup in Ukraine.

How the Democrats think fanning the flames for a World War will keep their base in the tent is beyond me or maybe they think Republicans are so blind in their bloodlust, they will vote for whichever candidate claims they are going to spill the most of it.

      Which won’t work.
