Sen. Bernie Sanders doubled down on his criticism of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and its newly created super PAC on Friday, telling The New York Times that the powerful anti-Palestinian rights lobbying group’s foray into Democratic primary politics is threatening the future of the party and of U.S. democracy.
As Common Dreams reported this week, AIPAC’s super PAC, United Democracy Project (UDP), is spending heavily in several Democratic primary races to defeat progressives who support Palestinian rights and are critical of the billions of dollars in U.S. funding that goes to the Israeli military annually.
AIPAC’s spending in key races in North Carolina, Texas, Pennsylvania, and other states is in service of the group’s goal “to create a two-party system, Democrats and Republicans, in which both parties are responsive to the needs of corporate America and the billionaire class,” Sanders told the Times.
“This is a war for the future of the Democratic Party,” the Vermont independent senator added. “They are doing everything they can to destroy the progressive movement in this country.”

Summer Lee won, not by much, but in SPITE of the effort of the Democratic party’s favored one to replace Democrat Mike Doyle. Too bad for Steve Irwin? Nope. He was gonna be the next Corporately controlled Democrat of the 18th.
Fuck the corporate Democratic party and congratulations to Summer Lee. Your job now is NOT to turn into AOC and the rest of the squad. If you do, you know you will be primaried, and the Israeli lobby can pound sand up their ass right along with those corporate Dems.
Hell, no... I'm not giving up...

I believe that Greta Thunberg quote sums up Bernie quite nicely.
Hitler 1944: Kiev is to be held to the last man.
Biden 2022: Kiev is to be held to the last Ukrainian.-

‘The future of the party’ -as if it ever had any- had the last nail put in its coffin when Sanders folded to the Clinton campaign in 2016…It’s been downhill from there.

It is completely corrupt, worthless to most Americans. Yes, I’ve seen the impact of the Israel lobby, for I live in what is now Shontel Brown’s district. They poured millions of dollars in to crush Nina Turner because she had criticized Israel in the past. She responded by cravenly condemning the BDS movement and sucking up to Joe Biden, and got a whopping 33% of the vote because most people who used to support her saw she was gunning to be the next AOC; just another celebrity progressive politician.
Even the progressives who have won in the past few years have all bowed down to power once they were ensconced in Washington. There is no point in putting one’s hopes for positive change in anyone running as a Democrat.

SV freaked out that he won because of his position on Russia and that he wants to abolish the CIA.

Maybe Young will surprise me, but until he does I won’t trust him at all. I do the same thing with Republicans. These days, they are the ones who sometimes pleasantly surprise me, like when some of them got together to shoot down the Ministry of Truth at DHS.

There are still some little partisan pockets of incrementalism believers, but the machine itself runs things now; individual politicians are now just fodder.
