This is a replica of the Carcano military surplus rifle Lee Harvey Oswald used to shoot President Kennedy. This replica is posed in front of cardboard boxes like those in the room where Oswald used the rifle. There are several variations of the Italian Carcano rifle, developed in the 1890s and used through WWII. As you know if you follow any of the unofficial accounts of the JFK assassination, the 6.5 x 52 cartridge and the rifle itself are not highly regarded, leading many people to declare it impossible that Oswald could have fired accurately and rapidly enough to kill Kennedy.
Your prize today is a copy of this book explaining how LBJ was responsible for killing Kennedy. My dad was convinced LBJ planned the whole thing, so he loved this book. I have not read it, and don’t plan to.
