President Trump wouldn’t say in an interview on Sunday whether he plans to accept the results of the coming presidential election.

In an interview with Fox News anchor Chris Wallace on early Sunday, Trump said he’ll “have to see” about accepting the results of the election when pressed about the matter, while also asserting without offering any evidence that he thinks mail-in voting “will rig” the November contest.

“I’m not a good loser,” Trump said in the interview. “I don’t like to lose.”

Pressed by Wallace if he’s a “gracious” loser, Trump responded, “You don’t know until you see. It depends.”

He’s planning on stealing the election. Even if he loses by 100 Electoral Votes or more.  He’s gonna steal it.  They are already working on the plan.

      Hi rs,

Must take exception with this projection.

“He’s planning on stealing the election. Even if he loses by 100 Electoral Votes or more. He’s gonna steal it. They are already working on the plan.”

Does one have any proof to back that statement up?

For all we know it’s just the ramblings of a delusional man or equally plausible some perverse strategy to energize his base.

In that election, Samuel Tilden won both the Popular Vote and the Electoral College. Yet a dispute over the electoral votes in 4 states ultimately resulted in the election being thrown to the US House of Representatives.  When this happens, it’s not a matter of each congressional district getting one vote, but rather one vote per state. In that case, they ended up “electing” Rutherford B. Hayes.

So while the Democrats currently hold the majority of seats in the House, they do NOT have the majority of state delegations. Currently, the Republicans control 26 state delegations while the Democrats control 23. So if the election was thrown to the House, that would be your likely vote… unless the “Lincoln Project” types managed to over  power the Cheeto fans in those states. I’ll even throw in the very real possibility that Utah could flip over in this scenario, as the Mormons really don’t like the Orange Imbecile. But that would still leave a 25-24 Republican vote. Which would arguably be even more painful…… perhaps even worse than Chimpy Bush “winning” a 5-4 vote of the Supreme Court, because Sandy O’Connor just wanted to go home to Arizona.

Now of course, there’s no way in Hell that Cheeto actually picked up a history book and read it long enough to know the details of the 1876 election, but no doubt Steve Bannon, or Joey Goebbels Jr, or one of those other shitheads on his payroll did so, and put the idea in his empty head.

I’ve kinda gotten fed up with the fear mongering over “Oooh! Trump might refuse to leave office! Ohhh! Be Scared!” Fuck. That. Shit. He is hated be everyone he comes in contact with, and as we all know here Biden will keep the oligarch gravy train rolling along for the next fascist. Trump will be gone the moment his term ends, and good riddance. It doesn’t matter what he says or thinks.

And in the latter case, he plays the conservative ‘martyr/victim’, victimized by the liberal MSM/establishment on FOX News and the rest of the RW media empire for the rest of eternity. I imagine that he drools at the thought of how much an ex-president who plays a RW martyr on TV can make.

He will talk tough in the meantime. What else does he know how to do? But he will read the handwriting on the wall when the time comes and retire to his ‘martyrdom’ with fame and fortune he could have only dreamed of.

I don’t think he expected to win in 2016, I think he wanted to run, lose and then set up Trump TV to publicize himself as the leader of “Real America”; basically Rachel Maddow with a Confederate flag.

Hillary was the most UN-gracious loser ever,  so that is a pretty high bar to be worse than Hillary was/still fucking IS.  FFS, Hillary is STILL shrieking about losing.

Nah.  If Trump loses, he will leave, and Biden and the Vichy Dems will merrily fuck us all over.  Biden has promised that.

Blocking ballots, intimidating voters, spreading misinformation — undermining democracy is at the heart of Trump’s 2020 campaign

      By Andy Kroll

In June, President Trump sat in the Oval Office for one of his periodic interviews-turned-airing-of-grievances. When the conversation turned to the 2020 election, Trump singled out what he called the “biggest risk” to his bid for a second term. It was not the mounting death toll from COVID-19, or further economic damage inflicted by the pandemic, or anything else a reality-dwelling president might fret about.

“My biggest risk is that we don’t win lawsuits,” Trump told the Politico reporter he’d invited. He was referring to the series of lawsuits filed by his campaign and the Republican National Committee that fight the expansion of mail-in voting and seek to limit access to the ballot box in November. “We have many lawsuits going all over,” he said. “And if we don’t win those lawsuits, I think — I think it puts the election at risk.”

Going into 2020, Trump had the political winds at his back with a strong economy, roaring stock market, and historically low unemployment. Then came COVID-19. As of this writing, more than 135,000 Americans are dead from the virus, more than 3 million have gotten infected, and the economy has tipped into Great Depression territory. With Trump at the helm, the U.S. government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic has ranked as one of the worst anywhere in the world.

By midsummer, the president’s approval ratings had sunk to the high 30s. According to Gallup, in the past 72 years only one incumbent president with a comparably dismal standing, Harry Truman, went on to win re-election. The possibility of Trump going down in flames, Hindenburg-style, and bringing the rest of the Republican ticket with him had even Fox News speculating on whether he might drop out of the race before the election.

He’s planning on stealing the election. Even if he loses by 100 Electoral Votes or more.  He’s gonna steal it.  They are already working on the plan.

But if he does my biggest question is will the Democrats help him?  I still think the Democrats had no intentions of winning back the Presidency this year, they were perfectly fine with being Trump’s opposition party.  Really, what major thing did Trump do that the Democrats didn’t agree with?  Tax cuts?  Defense budget?  Nope, they didn’t even try to fight his Supreme court nominees.  The virus changed everything so they now have a very good chance of winning.

The american people congress and the military will drag him kicking and screaming out of the white house. Speaking of citizen actions kudos to Maxine Waters for getting out of her vehicle and intervening to protect a black motorist from the police.

He cannot self pardon. Nixon couldn’t, so he quit and Ford had a not so better idea,

Biden already reminded him trespassers will be quickly escorted out of the White House.

That’s all this is; bluster in a vainglorious and doomed attempt to bolster his ratings. As things stand now, Trump’s opponent, just because he is Trump’s opponent, will win at least 350 electoral votes. It may even be above 400–shit, Biden’s within 4 points in South Carolina. Why? Because he’s lost white voters over the age of 65. Republican voter suppression just isn’t set up to suppress them. Quite the opposite, in fact.

The military will not support him. He won’t have any choice but to leave office, and then he can compete with Hillary to see who is America’s Sorest Loser.

Thw fat orange rat hid in his basement over a few hundred loud protesters, so I have no doubt he will leave, whether he wants to or not, because the alternative will be getting dragged out of the white house by thousamds of furious Americans.

It could be the Democrats who are planning to refuse to accept the result. Them stealing the election is much less likely as they control fewer state Secretaries of State, but then they could claim “Russian Hacking” like they claimed in 2016. Trump is acting delusional, but he could be right, (after all, Biden used the virus to help him steal the primary from Bernie, so Trump has a believable fear) like that joke, “just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you”. We’re all saying that America is acting like a banana republic, but really it could be more like a bad parody of a Costa-Gavras movie.

But the only real consequence was blue-checks whining about Russia Russia Russia on Twitter and M$DNC. Not the same thing as a president refusing to leave office (though as others have said, it’s not like he’ll really have a choice.)

As it currently appears that Trump is moving towards his refusal to leave the White House after the election, is it possible that he’s working on forming a ‘force’ to protect him in his possible plan? It’s worth pondering that all dictators has had a period of time to build up their own ‘force’ prior to staying put.

“It now appears clear that part of that strategy is to send federal agents dressed like Iraq War troops to Democratic-run cities, on the pretext of protecting federal property, and then for them to attack and provoke Black Lives Matter and Defund the Police protesters, causing violence to escalate and using it… to scare the suburbs,” Cole continued. “The exercise also has the advantage for Trump of entrenching a new form of secret police and of turning federal agents into instruments of his authoritarianism.”

Hillary steals the primary, so she figures she can steal the general. Then she frames Trump, just to rub it in. Then she loses, but she’s already got the smear, so she turns it into a conspiracy theory. Now if Biden loses the Democrats can claim Russian hacking – the groundwork has already been laid. The putsch has already been justified.
