April 2, 2021 at 8:45 a.m. EDTThe U.S. economy added 916,000 jobs in March, the highest level in months, as vaccine distribution and declining caseloads helped accelerate a recovery in the labor market.
The unemployment rate edged down to 6 percent from 6.2 percent in February.
The labor market recovered about 12 million of the 22 million jobs lost in the first two months of the pandemic by October, but until Friday’s report, the pace of the recovery had slowed greatly, as the virus surged through the holidays and into the New Year.
But the March data is yet another reason for optimism, as coronavirus vaccines become more accessible throughout the country and caseloads remain well below their peaks.
Way to go, Joe!!!

How many are part time, minimum wage jobs, with no benefits?
Just because the number of jobs increased, does not mean much unless people can live on the pay from those jobs.We are an arrogant species, believing our fantasy based "facts" are better than the other person's fake facts.
If you are wrong, it will be because you are not cynical enough.
Both major political parties are special interest groups enabling each other for power and money, at the expense of the people they no longer properly serve…

But they are all in restaurants (less than minimum wage) and grocery store at $7.25 an hour. Nothing worth writing home about here in rural TN. Can’t even rent a place to live and eat on those awful wages. The owners would pay you less if they could get away with it. That’s how much they care.
Can’t get decent jobs in manufacturing anymore. It all moved off shore. We use to have furniture stores and car parts manufacturing. All Gone when W. and Obama became president.
Now, all the filthy rich are buying up our land trying to make Bill Gates supersized factory farms out of our once productive beautiful small farmland. But the disappeared small farms was only a matter of time since all New Deal farm price controls were removed around 2015 thanks to those free trade agreements. That made it almost impossible for a small farmer to make a living. When Mr. Moneybags can bring in illegal cheap labor (Yes, even Trump liked him some underpaid illegal farm workers), massive farm equipment and contract only stinky hog and chicken spaceship barns to compete with small farmers, the small farmer doesn’t have a chance.
Just like when all our local restaurants turned into fast food chains and crappy “casual dinning” corporations. But Cracker Barrel, Tyson, China’s Smithfield and Bill Gates are raking in the millions that use to be raked in by our local restaurants and farms, so who care?
The farmers around here have all been conned into voting against their own best interests and they are so stupid, they don’t even know they are a bunch of dupes.

They voted for Clinton, and look what that got them. I can’t blame them for never voting for another Democrat for President again.
