• Update on weirdness

Update on site issues: (1. replies now need a title *and* something in the message box, 2. certain links are causing strange pop-ups on Apple devices, and 3. Some folks can't type anything into the text box.) Basically, a series of unfortunate events set us back on testing. We'll get to it as soon as we can, and hopefully things can get fixed by this weekend if not before.  More info: https://jackpineradicals.com/boards/topic/site-problems-more-info/

Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump backfire

Donald Trump wasn’t the only presidential candidate whose campaign was boosted by officials of a former Soviet bloc country.

Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office. They also disseminated documents implicating a top Trump aide in corruption and suggested they were investigating the matter, only to back away after the election. And they helped Clinton’s allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisers, a Politico investigation found.

A Ukrainian-American operative who was consulting for the Democratic National Committee met with top officials in the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington in an effort to expose ties between Trump, top campaign aide Paul Manafort and Russia, according to people with direct knowledge of the situation.

The Ukrainian efforts had an impact in the race, helping to force Manafort’s resignation and advancing the narrative that Trump’s campaign was deeply connected to Ukraine’s foe to the east, Russia. But they were far less concerted or centrally directed than Russia’s alleged hacking and dissemination of Democratic emails.

Vogel still believes the Russia did it line, but at least he’s looking into Ukraine’s meddling.

    1. Well yeah, they wanted to make sure that all the $$s they gave her foundation

was going to pay off. I wonder if they wanted planes, tanks, drones or good ole fashioned guns?

      2. And this applies to every group or country, which is heavily involved with CF.

There are several reasons to blame Russia.1) It has been a traditional

foe of the US (for good or bad reasons). 2) the debacles of Ukraine and

Syria (mostly due to our own fumbling by the CIA and DoS), and lastly

because Russia seems to be very successful in its efforts with Asia and

now, possibly Turkey. Besides, it is a world power. If Guatemala or

Cyprus were involved, nobody would care, and there would have been

      a lot of laughter instead.
