Retreating from their positions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine forgot that they recently blew up the bridge to cross the river to prevent the advance of Russian troops.

Maybe our government could fix Ukraine’s bridges …

      …right after they fix ours.

(I know, I know…wishful thinking. Our government would rather throw insane amounts of our tax dollars away on an unwinnable war before they would ever think to spend half that much money on our own infrastructure.)

      Lovely video by the way.

We are an arrogant species, believing our fantasy based "facts" are better than the other person's fake facts.

Quite a long way from actually fixing roads.  Much like Kamala Harris’ visit to Pittsburgh to bleat about “replacing every lead pipe in America” – I expect that is just another campaign-enhancing Awarding of Huge Contracts opportunity.

West Germany faced a similar task after they surrendered to end WWII in Europe, but they knew they had hit bottom, and they had the catharsis of turning on their former government, and forming a new one around those who had been its enemies.

Ukraine doesn’t look to be eventually going that route, which to me suggests that they are going to having a mega dependence on Western aid, and their economy will be driven by a steady influx of subsidies. It will be in large part functioning like a client state.

Endless employment for the insiders and friends of Western governments, as Western taxpayers become even more less able to have a government that can be held to account. Government not being held to account being a prime feature of a Forever War.
