US Democrats urge Biden to expel Bolsonaro following Brazil election riots

(France24) Democratic lawmakers called Thursday on President Joe Biden to revoke the visa of former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, saying the United States should not offer refuge to anyone involved in riots against Brazil’s newly elected government.
Bolsonaro, a close ally of former US president Donald Trump, flew to Florida rather than attend the January 1 inauguration of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and had made baseless allegations about the integrity of October elections.
Rioters supportive of Bolsonaro on Sunday swarmed Brasilia, vandalizing the presidential palace and other institutions, drawing parallels to the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol.
“We know firsthand the impact — both immediate and long-term — when government officials subvert democratic norms, spread misinformation and foment violent extremism,” said the letter by 41 House members.

Trying to score some political points reinforcing their self-righteous indignation of the January 6th riot. They’d be more than happy to return Bolsonaro to power instead of allowing Lula to continue where he left off strengthening BRICS and weakening the US’s hegemony. I have no doubts that the CIA, and State Department were behind this farce of coup, just as the FBI enabled US capitol riot.
