MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Vice President Mike Pence gave a speech Sunday in remembrance of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. at a church service in Tennessee.

Pence spoke at the Holy City Church of God in Memphis the day before the federal holiday named after the civil rights leader.

“I’m here to pay a debt of honor and respect to a man who from walking the dirt roads of the Deep South, to speaking to hundreds of thousands on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, touched the hearts of the American people and led the civil rights movement to triumph over Jim Crow,” Pence said.

Before the service, Pence toured the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel, where King was fatally shot on April 4, 1968, while standing on a balcony.

It’s good that he did this. I hope he was sincere.

I would like to remind you that U.S. health insurance companies do not contribute anything to health care. They are only a PARASITIC middle man receiving an undeserved cut of "FREE MONEY".

About as sincere as he was during his tour of the concentration camps at our southern border.

We are an arrogant species, believing our fantasy based "facts" are better than the other person's fake facts.

If you are wrong, it will be because you are not cynical enough.

Both major political parties are special interest groups enabling each other for power and money, at the expense of the people they no longer properly serve…

      I doubt he was.

more inclined to believe he would have been on the other side when kind was alive.

king didn’t become an american saint until a couple of decades after his death.

      kinda like jesus.

I don’t think that King walked the dirt roads.  What a dumbass is Pence.
