A bipartisan group of lawmakers, led by Senators Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Rob Portman (R-OH), is quietly working to criminalize the boycotting of Israel.
The bill, appropriately titled the Israel Anti-Boycott Act, establishescriminal and civil penalties of up to $1 million for American persons and companies who engage in actions “which have the effect of furthering or supporting . . . restrictive trade practices or boycotts fostered or imposed by any international governmental organization against Israel.” While it’s unclear how strictly the act would be enforced, it is clearly a gross infringement on free speech — targeting Americans who choose to exercise their First Amendment rights and engage in an organized boycott.
The Senate measure was conceived after the United Nations Human Rights Council voted in 2016 to create a “blacklist” of companies that do business in Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Building on a 1979 law designed to counteract the Arab League’s boycott of Israel, the Cardin-Portman legislation would extend the existing prohibition to cover boycotts against Israel called for by international organizations like the United Nations and the European Union.

What ever happened to America First? Dog, I hate these people and their sinister, two faced, agenda.
Forcing people to work without pay is akin to slavery.

What else could you call it?
If you give a man enough rope, it will be six inches too short. This is not the nature of rope- it is the nature of man.

but any German/East European of all responsibility for the Holocaust/Shoah, blaming it all on the Grand Mufti: Likud’s mainstream has a nastily jaundiced view of the Holocaust–they may insist it’s a unique event (while the Armenian ambassadors work themselves up into a fury), they may even praise the murder of 5-6 million as the necessary cost for founding a sovereign Jewish state, but as something any state would do

(and of course Labor has a record no less dirty since they ruled 1948-77–there’s Deir Yassin, there’s the butchery of Qibya, Khan Yunis, even the founding of Hamas as a Sunni “icebreaker”)

This is no different than it being a criminal act to criticize the government, a favorite of authoritarian rigimes everywhere. That a Democrat has his name attached to it tells me that the party deserves no respect from me.
In America, “Liberty” means “Free to Die in Service of Capital” - Amfortas the hippie.
Most of today’s elites have the moral and social reasoning capacities of spoiled toddlers.
“People of privilege will always risk their complete destruction rather than surrender any material part of their advantage...but the privileged also feel that their privileges, however egregious they may seem to others, are a solemn, basic, God-right. The sensitivity of the poor to injustice is a trivial thing c

The timing is off, they should have released it after Israel helped us bomb bad terrorists who are fighting our good ones. But that’s winding down, so they had to act now.

In other words we can boycott our grape growers or Tomato
“plantations” or any store like HobbyLobby, but we are not permitted
to do the same against products from Israel? How can that law even
be defended under such circumstances?

Jump to searchRevisionist Maximalism was a short-term movement and Jewish fascist ideology which was part of the Brit HaBirionim faction of the Zionist Revisionist Movement (ZRM) created by Abba Ahimeir. Revisionist Maximalists strongly supported the Italian fascist regime of Benito Mussolini and wanted the creation of an Israel based on fascist principles. The Revisionist Maximalists became the largest faction in the ZRM in 1930 but collapsed in support in 1933 after Ahimeir’s controversial decision to support Nazi Germany due to its fascist and anti-communist stances, while opposing their antisemitic policies. After facing outrage, Ahimeir reversed his position shortly afterwards, with Revisionist Maximalists attacking German consulates, but support for Ahimeir did not recover and the Revisionist Maximalists collapsed until they were recreated in 1938 under new leadership.
The label of “fascist” has nevertheless to be regarded with reserves because in that period as later it was used often abusively in the disputes between opposed political nonfascist fractions, as in the 1930s even the Social Democrat parties were accused by Stalin and the communists of being “fascists” or “social-fascists”. În the same way in Palestine Revisionist Zionists themselves were often qualified in the 1930s as “fascists” by the Labor Zionist leaders and the Revisionists attacked the social democratic dominated General Confederation of Labor (Histadrut) and Ben Gurion by using of terms like “Red Svastika” and comparisons with fascism and Hitler.[5][6] Also, not every territorial maximalistic revendications or paramilitary practices were in the modern history identical with fascist ideology, they could be also be found among communists, social democrats, or other kinds of nationalists.
