• Update on weirdness

    Update on site issues: (1. replies now need a title *and* something in the message box, 2. certain links are causing strange pop-ups on Apple devices, and 3. Some folks can't type anything into the text box.) Basically, a series of unfortunate events set us back on testing. We'll get to it as soon as we can, and hopefully things can get fixed by this weekend if not before.  More info: https://jackpineradicals.com/boards/topic/site-problems-more-info/

    What happened to the Bernie topic in Topics In-Depth ?

    Bernie is the reason this site was started.  He deserves his own place on JPR.

    1. yes! where is the revolution topic?

    was the abolishment discussed at all? stamping my foot. shaking my head.

    i went to the new “activist” thread and there is perhaps maybe 1 bernie related topic. it is primarily standing rock right now – which i would never have known had i not checked. standing rock threads would be more readily exposed in the discussion forum. standing rock is a critical topic at this time and having posts under “activist” keeps it hidden unless one knows to look there.

    if we are really supporting activism here, shouldn’t the entire discussion forum reflect activism?

    now, i am in a quandary as to where to spend my time. yet, i miss the cohesiveness of the bernie/revolution forum.

      2. So let's ask Mary.

      @marym625

      We are wondering what happened to the topic of “Bernie” under InDepth Topics ?   Bernie deserves his own space on JPR.  How about a topic just for the man that brought us here in the first place ?   We could call it “Bernie”.

      @hopemountain  I miss that cohesiveness too.

      Most of all I miss the hopefulness Bernie gave us.  I miss that a lot.

        3. Totally agree

        There was an issue with many not posting in the forum because they thought it was ONLY about Bernie and Our Revolution.

        We need to have activism here. Used to be a ton. And we have many members who are quite active in many areas.

        So, let’s talk about it. How do we do both without spreading things too thin in specific forums?

          4. perhaps issues which

          have not had much coverage can begin posting in discussion and later – once an activist force here begins to take place, shift more detailed posts for activist organization, etc.. of course, victories or rallying for more support can still occur in discussion – to keep the fires going. let’s keep it going with a fluidity that builds momentum, too.

          proactive movements do require a place to hash out planning and detailed info. each issue can even have a separate thread under the activist forum.

          yet, as with any movement/revolution, it is key to keep the issues visible. discussion can help with the pr and the activist threads can provide logistics. and each can reference the other.

          i think the election bruhaha’s shifted people’s attention from bernie and the revolution, for the most part.

          now, with the cheeto in office and all of the other cheeto’s making the country more orange, it is imperative we stop their agenda. it is time for the revolution to gather forces and activate if we care at all about the 99%. we are each being given the call to do our part.

          @bernintheusa  – thanks for reaching out, and thanks, mary, for responding and opening up the discussion.

            5. Sounds good

            But I don’t think it answers the question of how to include Bernie in the forum title.

            What if we made it:

            Activism Bernie’s Revolution?

            @bernintheusa what do you think?

                  8. I think "All Things Bernie" is / was a good title. Bernie deserves a place

                  of his own.

                  Activism can keep its own title.
