For anyone who may be unaware – basically the Governor (of Wisconsin) issued an order to postpone the primary until June.  He was overruled by the State Supreme Court – and then the U.S. Supreme court decided that ballots (tens of thousands) cast beyond a certain “voting deadline” would be invalid (you can find particulars on google, if you want).  Meanwhile, Trump is urging people, out loud, to go out there and vote for a Republican Supreme Court Judge.  I refuse to call those assholes “justices”.  Bernie Sanders recently made a statement condemning the republican legislature and those particular idiots – for this situation.  There is, however, a big problem with that – and it is not that Bernie it is wrong.

It is that he is not telling the whole story.  Biden, his allies, members of the DNC and media are supporting this primary – either out loud and vocally, or simply by remaining silent about the likely cost in health and lives lost as a result.  It is not just those who are being loud about this – it is those in positions of media or authority who are ignoring it entirely.  Senators, members of Congresses, Judges – and so on and so forth.  The governor, in this case, made the right call – no doubt after a hell of a lot urging to do just that – to postpone the primary to save lives.  So he did it.  He was overruled.

They prefer not to come right out and say these things, so I will say them.  In general, those most highly at risk are also those more likely to vote.  In general, there are a lot more boomers and Gen Xers and those left of the greatest generation that will be voting.  Most of them will vote for Biden, some will go out to vote for Kelly – as Trump has told them to do.  There are, simply put, fewer voters among the millennial generation and the one that follows.  I am hoping that could change in time – but most of us do not trust the integrity of the system by which we vote.  I am among those who do not trust it.

Some few will, anyway, younger people.  Those will likely become asymptomatic carriers, who, in all likelihood, will pass the virus on to those more vulnerable to it.  This is the system, such as it is – and the two most likely to be President after the 2020 election…, the media and various organizations and groups saying “We are okay with that, go out and do it!”.

As a young boy, my Mother and Father taught me about civic duty by reminding me often that people struggled, suffered and died for the right to vote.  That, in spite of how we may feel about the political system in general – we should still do it.  My Father is one of those democrats who, if he lived in Wisconsin, might go out and vote for Biden.  He did vote for him, in Maine’s primary some weeks back.  At my own local town office where the primary vote was held for us, the people there were overwhelmingly 50+.  Most of them probably 60+, but I’m no great judge of age.

We are being shown… that regardless of our feelings regarding civic duty, our health and our very lives are considered worthless to the powers that be – the idiots that are.  They are doing/saying the same thing.  “Go out and sacrifice yourself for rich politicians!”  Not for the economy – not this time, but for a select few among the wealthy elite.

The extent of the corruption, of the disregard for us and our lives… is all too clear.  It was obvious before, for those of us paying attention – but this really slams the point home.  The highest legal system in the Country has been corrupted for political purposes.  Trump and Biden are equally as corrupt – their policies may vary somewhat… but this is the time to step up and take action.  To be a decent human being, to say “No, we aren’t going to ask people to die so that we can have a primary today that could be held later – that will risk sickness and death for thousands of people – that could further accelerate the pandemic here in the U.S., its current epicenter.”

It is what it is – and what it is is sick altogether.  It is altogether wrong, bizarre and insane.  I will say, the one saving grace I feel in all of this, is that Bernie Sanders has been calling all along, over and over again, to postpone primaries until this virus is under control.  A lot of people who DO give a damn are talking about mail-in votes – which would make a heck of a lot more sense. This does not need to happen this way. It should not happen this way. Except for politics, politicians – and those doing their bidding, it would not. I am sickened, saddened – and mad as hell, all at the same time. Our lives are not theirs to sacrifice. They are ours.

My understanding was the primary rules are set by the DNC for the Democrats, and the DNC being an independent organization do not have to listen to anything the court says about primary voting, methods of candidate selection (remember Florida case in 2018), etc.

You may be right – in either case, those who are supporting this are telling people, especially the elderly and people with health conditions… to go out and die, so one asshole can be President.  Or a judge.  Sacrifice… it is not theirs to determine, it is ours to offer, or not, as the case may be.  Some, knowing full well what they are risking, will go out and vote anyway.  Perhaps due to their strong convictions that we need to get rid of Trump (I don’t disagree with that particular point) or that they need to elect Biden (I strongly disagree on the value of that).

In any event, those in authority (aside from the Governor – who made the right call, whatever his reasons) are basically urging “Eat shit and die” to thousands of Americans.  They may not say it out loud, they may not put it in those precise words, but that is precisely what they are urging people to do.

It was bad before.  From 2000 to 2016, every Presidential election in my lifetime has been twisted, corrupted, vain and full of ignorance, empty platitudes and corruption.  Now though… I don’t have vile enough words for it.  For them.

I guess Ohio’s governor has more power to act in a state of emergency than Wisconsin’s. I remember when Dewine first said he was considering delaying Ohio’s primary how the DNC, the Biden campaign, and the corporate media thumped their chests and screamed about taking away our sacred right to vote, how Trump scoffed at him, and how Bernie was the only national political leader who said Dewine had the right idea.

Ohio Democrats pounced on Bernie’s announcement that GOTV efforts for the Ohio primary were suspended in the interests of public safety, and demanded the election go ahead as scheduled, even while the DNC was saying they were considering holding a virtual national convention to keep their own precious asses safe. Meanwhile, they ordered the dumbass peasants do what they were told and get out there and vote for Good Old Joe!

Governor Dewine was able to say “Fuck that” and delay the primary election on the basis of professional medical advice. Wisconsin’s governor couldn’t. There’s something wrong with your state constitution, Cheeseheads. Maybe you should do something about that.

In order to vote, citizens of Milwaukee must risk the safety of themselves, their families, and their coworkers by cramming into overcrowded, overwhelmed polling stations and enduring long waits to cast an in-person ballot. Meanwhile, 10,000 of their votes have already been thrown away by standard Republican voter suppression.

Yet Joe Biden, the DNC, the Supreme Court, and Donald Trump have no problems with this. The Biden campaign will have a problem with it in November if the doddering old fool is in fact the nominee, though. They’ll cry about voter suppression in Milwaukee then, all right, and about Bernie supporters staying at home after Trump carries Wisconsin again when these same voters refuse to go to the polls for Biden.

The leadership of both political parties is composed of truly despicable people.

is that they realize that the Biden campaign has a very short shelf life, and they need to accumulate as many delegates as quickly as possible.  Soon, maybe much sooner than they calculate, Biden will need to be pulled from the race.  If Bernie is within any kind of realistic striking range when that happens the DNC will have a harder time rigging Biden’s replacement.

This whole election is a farce from the very beginning.

You are right.  I have said for a long time that these elite shitheads want us to die… well, case in point… right the hell now.

The leadership of both political parties should be charged with corruption, crimes against humanity – and more.  A few of them in particular are very obviously, very extremely guilty of insider trading.  Martha Stewart went to prison for it – but Senators?  It seems not.  If you, or I, or any of us peasants did anything similar to the things they do on a daily basis, we’d be spending years, maybe decades, in prison.  Come to think of it… a cousin of mine wrote an article about what is happening in prisons right now.  It is sick beyond belief.  So many people, imprisoned for nonviolent crimes are sick, or at risk – so are the guards – and anyone who works in them.  Yet that is something that the mainstream media doesn’t want to talk much about.  There, too, the situation will be far worse than for the general public or for the elite.

All promoted, enabled, stamped and signed by people who, for the most part, call themselves “Christian”.  Jesus wept.
