What the fuck is the logic behind having a 20K rally in the height of a pandemic? Of all the stupid things this moron has done, this is by far the dumbest thing to date. Yeah, I think he may be having issues.
I hope he has an omnidirectional shit storm right at the height of his rally. Imagine the outcome.
I'm done, It's over for now. It was nice meeting all the cool people here.

But pandemics, great depressions and civil unrest are probably the worst times.

No evidence that Trump has ever been big on logic, why expect it?
But plenty of evidence he does what he thinks will benefit himself & his interests. He’s really not interested in other people except insofar as they provide an admiring mirror to his own magnificence.

Speaking strictly from the perspective of containing covid, you could say the exact same thing about the police protests, but nobody did. That was something of a turning point in the covid crisis. Republicans never cared about containing it, and everyone else decided there are other things more important than doing so. Under the circumstances, it is understandable; other issues don’t disappear because we’re in a pandemic.
However, it shouldn’t be surprising when cries of, “Stfu. Stay the fuck at home and don’t come out until we tell you it’s safe.” don’t quite have the impact they did a month ago. It’s a bit too late at this point to retreat back to railing against mass public gatherings. For all intents and purposes, and for better or for worse, we’ve given up on fighting this virus aggressively.
Besides, the human instinct to interact with other members of the species is a strong drive, unrealistic to think you can just put it in a box indefinitely. If it wasn’t George Floyd, then it would have been something else. So it goes.

American citizens have the right to assemble. If BLM protesters can assemble in violation of social distancing rules, then so can Trump supporters. It’s up to each individual citizen to make that choice.
