Was jamming on some Petrouchka last night and thought, what better way to say “FU” to the neolibcons than to have a festival dedicated to Russian music?
Especially after reading so many stories and articles trying to justify banning Russian music and touring musicians, because rUsSia MuSt PaY! Even those who’ve denounced Putin (by force?), because you just never know.
It’s clearly the same “you’re with us, or you’re with the terrorists” mentality that got them to vote overwhelmingly for locking up the unvaxxed. But they had to settle for putting people out of jobs, just as they’re trying to do now. As if musicians are just one step away from the “oligarchy”.
