The state has been under a shelter-in-place order since March 25.

By Katelyn Burns Updated Apr 7, 2020, 2:18pm EDT

Polls opened at 7 am in Wisconsin despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, despite the Democratic governor’s attempts to delay the election because of said epidemic, and despite calls from public-health experts to stay home.

The result by mid-morning was what critics feared: Voters were queued up in long lines, waiting for hours to vote in crowded and understaffed polling stations.

Experts fear the prolonged public gatherings could undermine efforts to control the spread of the coronavirus.

Take this line of scores of voters waiting at one city’s singular polling location, which a journalist with the local ABC affiliate tweeted:

Bernie’s campaign should raise hell about this and scream at the top of their lungs about voter suppression and obvious attempts to manipulate the results. Bernie should directly attack Joe Biden for not giving a shit about Wisconsin voters by not calling for the election to be delayed, as he did.

Will he? I doubt it, but I’d love for him to prove me wrong.

Let’s face it, he is not the type to launch a virulent attack on his opponent. He just doesn’t have it in him. I don’t know how much it would do at this point to boost his campaign, given that the blowback from the MSM would be fierce.

But expecting him to attack like some pundit is just unrealistic. And it betrays a lack of understanding about Bernie.

At least he said something. Many of the so called dems said nothing. Maybe it is a good thing Bernie isn’t a Democrat.

@n2doc Just to be clear, I never said I expected Bernie to go after some pundit or even Joe Biden. I wish he’d crucify Joe Biden on a cross of sick voters, but he won’t.

I would. I’d be calling the SOB an accessory to murder by biological warfare.

see all those responsible for this crime against humanity tried, convicted, and imprisoned, and that especially includes the 5 fascists on the SCOTUS who ruled that this was acceptable public policy.

“A lie doesn't become truth, wrong doesn't become right, and evil doesn't become good, just because it's accepted by a majority.” ~ Booker T. Washington

The truth is, there’s no such thing as being “anti-Fascist.” Either you are a decent human being with a conscience, or you are a fascist.

The results, a HUGE Biden victory, were already in the can.  Had to hold the sham of in-person voting to “legitimize” the show.  Besides, in the Supreme Courts’s view, they are all black or country bumpkins anyway.  They don’t matter.

      I should say I’m being sarcastic but, I don’t think I am.

Maybe somebody, The Republicans, or better God, believe that the primary will only be attended by those stupid enough to think their vote will actually be counted to stop Bernie’s revolution.  Those people will be older and less informed, i.e. high risk. A lot of them will catch the virus and a lot will die, thus either insuring a Republican century  (well at least an election or two) or in God’s case divine wrath against the unrighteous. (“What? I give you only ten commandments and you think ‘thou shalt not kill’ only applies to people who can afford tax lawyers? What? I give you democracy and you elect someone who can’t tell the difference between a child and a lilac bush? Hey, let’s see what you think of the smell of fire and brimstone!”)

in the middle of a shelter in place order – nice.   ideally sanders might have been able to sponsor a neat legal protest but those issues were already being fought.   if there were still grounds for appeal that would be nice.   as long as he doesn’t drop out, there are a few ways this may still go.   this is street-worthly IMO.  talking about this with people you know really doesn’t seem to be a losing proposition and might help a lot

The state has been under a shelter-in-place order since March 25, but Republican officials in the state fought to ensure the election would proceed as originally scheduled, and the state’s and nation’s highest courts ruled in their favor on key logistical outlets.

This sounds like the Biden campaign and the Democrats had nothing to do with this? The state government has the authority whether or not the primary takes place, not the individual parties? I’d like to make sure the right people get the blame since this is a pretty bad/dumb move.

It will stop when the young voters give the middle finger to the corrupt and vote in mass to shut down the corporate fascist state we have.
